Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory Forums

Going to Amsterdam with a friend in March. I have been many times before, my friend never.
When i go over it is basically just to go to the coffeeshops (ive done the touristy things with my g/f) and i very rarely drink so pubs/clubs have no real interest to me.
Can anyone recommend a few rock bars/pubs/clubs, i personally cant stand the music but its really just to placate my friend who doesnt smoke at all. Have already told him i dont intend to smoke that much (yeah right) but hes the type to get pissy sitting about getting stoned all evening.

Be careful, the Dutch eat their rock bars with mayonnaise.

well there is the MInds on spuistraat, and the last waterhole up in Liedseplein there are more,, theese are jsut the one i like
