Me and my girlfriend will be visting Amsterdam for my 5th time and we will be staying at the NH Amsterdam City Centre for 4 nights between the 23rd Feb and 27th Feb, I hope they are going to be ok with us smoking there because there will be alot of it! I have previously stayed at the NH Barbizon Palace and it didn't seem to be a problem, Well im hoping to spend most of my hours inside coffeeshops and eating really and will take a trip to the zoo.
So as I said this will be my 5th time in Amsterdam over the last few years and I havn't really done much whilst there other than smoking, I just want to try all of the top quality strains and find myself not doing to much else other than go to coffeshop smoke a buy a few bags smoke a few J's then walk around looing for the next good coffee shop (I do smoke a fair bit), my girlfriend likes to smoke as well but not as much as me and don't think she will be happy to spend all 5 days non stop smoking. We will visit the zoo as we have previously and enjoyed it, honesty though I havn't really done much else all the previous times so any suggestions of some must see or must go places to go would be greatly appreciated.
On my last 4 stays I stayed at the NH Barbizon Palace hotel twice and in 2 different Amsterdam Cribs places, all of these have been very close to Central station and the RLD so I have a pretty good experience of these coffeeshops except somehow I miss Voyagers everytime which I have heard alot of positve things about. Anyway I will be searching the forums after I write this post but if anybody has any information they would like to share on any of the coffee shops/bars/food/The hotel, the places anything really around the Spui area it would also be greatly appreciated.

You have been posted on the February Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop (your favorite)
and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to show up, if they do you'll have a
T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your favorite coffeeshop!

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.

Have you ever considered a side trip to Haarlem?
15 minute each way trip, 7,60 euro return

My fav shop is Birdy.

Thanks alot for the advice FlyByNight it is greatly appreciated and we will definately take a day trip to Haarlem to check out some of the coffee shops there and will take you up on your advice of your favourite shop and be sure to check out Birdy 1st. I Would have considered stayingin the Haarlem area if I know it was that easy too get to. Maybe on my next trip I will stay there and get myself into most if not all of the coffeshops the area has to offer.

I will try my best (without getting into trouble) to get some to get some up to date menu photo's for all to see and maybe look into setting up or turning up to a T&T during our stay. Any further comments/advice from your own experiences is all useful information to me or others who may read. Thanks again to FlyByNight for the tips.
