It's quite interesting that even the Daily Mail comments section(which is usually filled with bigotry, homophobia, religion and right-wing tripe.), is overwhelmingly anti the article...

...To be honest, however; I am one of those people who smoked a joint and then had his heart rate increase to a point of concern... It was a particular batch of Cheese i got 2 years ago... I think it was made worse by the effect it had on my paranoia also... The worse it felt, the more anxious i became...

...Given that experience i could begin to believe that weed may cause heart irregularity(whether it has been sprayed with something or not, i'm still not sure)... But so can a roller-coaster!

If in doubt... Don't do it.

P.S.
I'm still alive... Haven't had any issues since... But, i'm more inclined to believe stuff like this article... Maybe this is the new "peanut allergy".

Indeed. It's the same every time they run an article about weed, the majority of posters are in favour of legalisation. It's that and the current US softening that gives me hope the tide is turning. When even Daily Mail readers and the US government agree that weed prohibition is a crock of shit, the game is truly up.

From the article...
"Her friend, Zara Hill, said she and Miss Moss smoked cannabis worth about £20 together in the week before her death.
Miss Hill told police that Miss Moss smoked as much as £60 of the drug a week, although this was disputed by her family."
"It was one half of a joint to get to sleep. She never smoked in the day. She was really honest about cannabis because from where we come from its normal to smoke cannabis."
"She also Miss Moss was stressed about her benefit money being stopped and because her son had been excluded from school.
In recording a verdict that Miss Moss died from drug abuse, Mr Payne said: 'Gemma had been a long term user of cannabis.
'She suffered from depression and was on prescription drugs to try and deal with that although it would not appear she was taking them at the time of her death.
'She usually used it (cannabis) in the evenings to try and help her to get to sleep and did not use it in the day time."

Given what people, who knew her, said about her cannabis use, I fail to see how she could have had a moderate to high levels (0.1 to 0.15 ml/L).
A bit dramatic with the tone of her smoking as much as £60 per week, which is what - perhaps 5-7 grams... that's my average over a two day period...
She was stressed out, which can have severe physical consequences, for which she was taking an unnamed prescription medication.
"It would not appear..." is so vague that I'd call the story a piece of pathetic journalistic bullshit.

To classify her death as having been caused solely by cannabis, as according to the information provided in the article, is absurd and if actually given as an official cause of death, reason to investigate the credentials of the coroner/lab technicians and their superiors, and the presence of any political pressure.

I do believe there are people who are allergic to cannabis and could very easily die from exposure, but that is beside the point...
I also believe that there very well could be people that will experience negative side effects similar to taking any type of drug, which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
As any learned person will attest, cannabinoids are not lethally toxic to the general populace, only in extreme cases as mentioned above.

A plethora of information available, and yet people will believe this shit... sad.
The only thing to do is...............

This went around on FB yesterday , everyone was laughing at the story. So I prefer to simply blame the English press mh, I think the public generally know where the bullshits at!

Edit: I should add, not laughing at the fact someone died. Simply the details of the story. I haven't read the story just the headline but a mate you would need a 1500lb dose....as he said try consuming 1500lbs of anything in one sitting and it will kill you. She had half a joint... Don't think so
You missed it right?

You should read the story and then you wouldn't be so quick to jump on the 'bash the british press' bandwagon - it was a coroner who ruled she died of cannabis poisoning.

Hi Guys I read the article after I got numerous calls about it. My thoughts were this is rubbish and still think it. It's either a Doctor that does'nt know about Cannabis or our Gov. getting at them.
As for the Heart problem, and even somebody on this site said they had a problem with some strong Cheese, well to put your minds at rest I will let know my side. I'm 65 and smoked in the 60's left it for while when we had Kids and have been back on since the 80's. My millenium present for 2000 was a Triple Heart Bypass caused by smoking Cigarettes, and big fry ups not the other. Anyway had it done it did stop me whil'st recuperating, but as soon as back to work back on the Fags, then the other. I was told that if I continued Smoking I would have to have it done again in 7 years time if i stopped then 10 years it's now 14 years and I still have 2 Spl. At Day and have been signed off from the regular 12 monthly visits as my Heart is fine and only need to go if there is a problem. Also chatted with my Family Doctor about smoking Weed and he said " That won't kill you the Tobacco will though" . So Guys keep toking and don't worry about it. I will message you when I've gone just to let you know ha ha.
Legalize it and give Freedom to the World
