also Albert Heijn. has a great selection of beer too , and wine cheap,,

It's the same with the Albert Heijn Supermarkets as some are open while others are not. There's one that pretty close to you that's open on Sunday. It's at Vijzelstraat 113 1017 HJ Amsterdam. I'd be surprised if it was open after 6:00pm, but you should be able to pick up some beer.

If you're staying right above Concerto, I think the closest Albert Heijn would be the one in Fredericksplein. Anyway if you're just after a few (cold) beer there's a minimarket in Utrechtsestraat (just after the Prinsengracht, on the same street side as Concerto) which I'm pretty sure is open on Sunday, but can't remember if it stays open also after 10 pm.

thanks again. Yeah it is really just for a few cold beers to be honest, enough for the the night

I looked for opening times and it appears that the Frederiksplein is open until 10pm on Sundays
