Returning to the chosen land of stoners

Post by Bas »

Coming back to dam after a year and a half absence with a few guys in March, cant wait

Just want to know what spots people recommend? On my last visit it was clear Voyagers was the best place for smoke in the city. But it wasnt a place to chill I felt. So we were kinda nomads for the duration heading from spot to spot. But I would like to have somewhere to make base of operations if you will.

It used to be Basjoes , the less said about there the better so I don't get all emotional lol. Need somewhere with that feel. Couldn't find anything like it last time :(

Many thanks in advance

What dates will you be in Amsterdam?
I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town and any Toke & Talks that are planned.

1e Hulp is a comfy shop.

Head down Rozengracht, towards Flower Power and Mr.K... Keep going until you come to Marnixstraat, turn left and look to the right side of the street for the neon sign... Enjoy. :D

You have been posted on the March Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop (your favorite)
and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to show up, if they do you'll have a
T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your favorite coffeeshop!

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.

Click the Directory button on the top of the page menu bar, click H in the alphabet on the
left side of the page, scroll down to 1e Hulp, click it and get - https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/Hulp.html . there is a zoomable map on that page.

Enjoy

Thanks for the replies, I've kinda got a hold on where it is, can anyone tell me roughly how long it would take on foot to reach the place from Voyagers?

I've seen pictures of 1e on their website and it looks really nice and comfy, where else would compare? I'm not interested in these places that look and feel like any other bar, only replacing booze with bud.

It's about 15 minutes walk from Voyagers. Prix d'Ami is much closer and it is a huge CS (3 floors) with lots of leather seats, table service, pool tables, game tables etc. The product is not top grade but it's priced reasonably and it's always somewhere I like to chill with friends. You could also try out places like Lost in Amsterdam where you can bring your own and lay down in a corner and get baked

Much love for the replies people.

Anyway so I've booked the flights for 24th March.

Staying at the Funky Chicken with Amsterdam Cribs, any one been there before? Recommend the best CS nearby to possibly make base of operations?

much love

This is the worst advice ever! The guy said he did not want anything that was like a bar that sold weed, prix is more like a sh*t overly pink night club and is nothing to compare to 1e hulp.

How can you even recommend lost in Amsterdam, the place is a tourist trap rip off with overly priced drinks which you are almost always asked/forced to buy another if you want to stay.

oh it will take you about 20-30mins to get to 1e hulp from voyagers on a stoned walk if you are not to familiar with the route and surroundings.

Nice to see more people in town at the same time, we're there from 23rd til 26th.
1e Hulp is a little out the way but definetly worth it if you can get somewhere to sit! We tend to go to Coffeeshop Coffeeshop at the top of Singel if we're struggling to get a seat in any of the places we want to go and just buy drinks and smoke our own! Nice cosy little shop that's always quiet!
