^^ It is called Wonderbar, it is right at the end of Nieuwendijk, and it gets very few English people in it....

It's very relaxing, and the bar snacks are also good. There are others like it, and this is not one of the better ones... unless you can get a window seat

La Grotte on Haarlemmerstraat is decent. They allow smoking and serve beer also! In the summer months they open up the wall of windows, perfect place for a smoke.

The Grasshopper is smoker friendly. Mind you they are a bit too commercialised, but they do decent food.
