I've met a feller who claims that NO ONE is able to pass blind smoke test and tell which is which by the effect. :P

Then you met an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about!

Hmm, a taste test in the making... :)
If this feller is a friend, here's maybe what you could do to aid in his education...
...either you or this feller obtain the purest Indica and Sativa you are able to find.
Sit down with this feller, roll and smoke a fat Indica, and talk about the effects. When the effects subside, probably in a couple of hours, repeat with the Sativa.
Compare the differences... I think perhaps this feller will then recognize there are differences, even subtle ones.
Have fun...

I actually tried to make him to score samples of indica and sativa, as pure as possible.

Then I'll prove that it is indeed possible! This is a win-win challenge! :P

I thought about that as well, however for comparison testing, I was thinking starting low and slow, then boost up a bit for the contrast.
I've had a few sativa that had a wicked body stone along with a fantastic body high, however this could defeat the purpose for the test.
When planning a smoking day, a mild Sativa leaning hybrid with a cup of coffee for that special wake n bake experience; followed by a 100% Sativa to carry through the meat of the day (possibly an afternoon delight); slide into the early evening with a mild Indica leaning hybrid; if still pumped from the day, a full on Indica with a cup of sleepy time tea, then it's good night and sweet dreams. :)
