With so many burger shop threads -tasty-burger.nl, Bar, Meester, The Butcher, Bensons BBQ etc but no talk of Lombardo's - anyone been there?

there is a okay burger place where coffeeshop extase was, on the corner of oud hoogstraat i think it is.
Nothing much different to BB or BM or the butcher, but it makes a change. The window seat makes for great people watching

I'm ridiculously surprised this place isnt mentioned in the same breathe as places like de klos, cafe loetje, brootje bert, burger bar etc., along with brootje bert this is by far and away the best place to get breakfast, not only that they have some of the best burgers you could ever hope to try in amsterdam, it isnt the #1 rated eatery on trip adviser for no reason

fantastic burger, really tasty. worthy of the reputation. One thing we asked for medium but they were quite rare, to the point they were raw soft and gooey in the middle, so if your not into that i would maybe ask for well done.

Ditto, I for one will be making this one of my first stops on the 21st

Best burger in town from my experience. The seseme bun really added to the taste in a good way.

Went to the burger place mentioned above where Extase used to be. Had the lamb buger which was decent. As mentioned, good spot to watch the crowds go by.

The Club and Ribeye sandwiches weren't anything special but the burgers did look yummy.

Neither of us tried the burger, but what we did order was DELICIOUS! I'm pretty sure I had the meatloaf sandwich while my friend had the club. The restaurant was very busy but our service was good and the food came out in a timely manner. We both thought the price compared to quality made it a good value for lunch. I would highly recommend eating here.

Try Broodje Bert on Singel - nicer and cheaper sandwiches imo.
