Wonder what that will mean for the future of Amsterdam? Only time will tell I gues, but anyone who is planning on going should enjoy themselves as much as possible when ever they can get there.

Its stupid, they should leave the coffee shops alone. I understand about the health risks but if people choose to apply to work in coffee shops they are accepting that its a smoking enviroment. Dont want to work in a smoking enviroment?? apply somewhere else. Why do governments feel the need to nanny everybody like they are stupid kids.

Mazdog is rendering teh service of finding the news. The majority of us would otherwise not have read this article, and we are better for having read it thanks to mazdog. And I'm quite sure the operators of the website are far from unpleased that someone is increasing their exposure.

Yeah Thanks Maz! It does state tobacco is the only thing covered which is a plus...I also totally agree with what Alaskan Biker is saying, its baby steps to banning.

i think you guy's are right this could be just the start, banning smoking in cafe's and place's where food is served does not seem unfare to me ,but banning coffee shops would be silly for one, a lot less people would travel to the city , and two that means putting a lot of local people out of busness and out of a job .
