He was a mad genius :|
Still think the wife was involved in the shooting
With the amount a heroin he had taken no way he could of lifted the shot gun and shoot himself!
The saddest day in grunge music :|

20 years on... damn, where did the good times go?
I wasn't shocked when I heard he was dead, given that he tried and failed a couple of time before... the latest failed attempt a month or so before he finally succeeded.
Sad...

That was the roofies OD. He had been using them for some time at that point.

And he wasn't even a rapist. I wonder if anybody would have scheduled a toke and talk with him.

Approximately one month before he committed suicide, he tried at least once... a second attempt was/is disputed.
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Cobain
"Following a tour stop at Terminal Eins in Munich, Germany, on March 1, 1994, Cobain was diagnosed with bronchitis and severe laryngitis. He flew to Rome the next day for medical treatment, and was joined there by his wife, Courtney Love, on March 3, 1994. The next morning, Love awoke to find that Cobain had overdosed on a combination of champagne and Rohypnol. Cobain was immediately rushed to the hospital, and spent the rest of the day unconscious. After five days in the hospital, Cobain was released and returned to Seattle. Love later stated that the incident was Cobain's first suicide attempt."

I remember a news story shortly after the incident where authorities claimed that this was an attempted suicide, and not his first.
What does not being a rapist have to do with the subject, other than his choice of drug? Wrong thread...
What about the Champagne, or alcohol in general, which arguably is responsible for more rapes than Rohypnol?

Moving on... quickly.

No need to move on, I was referring to the other thread, and my comment was in reference to the hysteria and bloviating we all witnessed. As for Cobain I thought he was highly overrated. Meh...

This got posted in "Legalization and Campaigning?' Give me a Break!

I thought we had moderators that could move this to "Off-Topic Subjects: Music"

Maybe we need a "Cat Fight" forum
