Re: Going For the Green in 2014: The Progress

I had a good, relaxing day out here in Almere Haven yesterday. I found myself getting a little more familiar with the area while traveling by car.

Today is the day that my Swiss associate and myself will check into Voyagers. Also, at mid-day, I agreed to go out to the airport to meet a friend of mine from #herb on Undernet, IRC. Of all the people who might have taken a notion to visiting Amsterdam, this friend was the last one I would have guessed to actually go.

I talk about going to Amsterdam with a lot of people, both in real life and on IRC. Many people say how "lucky" I am to go to Amsterdam and how they would like to go also. Well, there's no real "luck" for me, it's all a matter of scrimping and saving and making the time available. There is no secret other than getting your shit together and doing it. However, most people I know just can't get their shit together.

The friend I am meeting today is a responsible type of fellow and seems to have all his ducks in a row, so for him to get his shit together to make a trip from USA to Amsterdam is not surprising, but he is not a toker. He says he has never smoked cannabis or used it in anyway. Yet, he is coming for 5 nights and wants to see some sights. I told him he would be seeing the inside of several coffeeshops. hahah!

Be that as it may, I am still looking forward to hooking up with other ACD members for the remainder of my stay.

More updates to come as I am Going for the Green in 2014!

Hi DRA,

make some proposals for Thur./Friday or until you are still here (my last day is Sunday), and we can do a crawl or something. I am thinking of a train journey on Wed. but it is not set in stone.
