To those who say Denver or USA is beter than Amsterdam

I keep meeting people with this attitude and their attitude sucks.
Okay so Denver has a better new and growing cannabis scene where it's all happening....... what was Amsterdam 40 years ago? Where will Denver be in 40 years?
So apart from all the wonderful advances in Cannabis what does Denver have to offer, is it a small compacted city which is easy to travel around on bike, for or public transport?
Does Denver have history, culture and architecture like Amsterdam?
Does Denver have romantic canals and waterways flowing through the city, with glistening building reflections shimmering on top of the water?
Denver and Amsterdam are very different places, to say one is better than the other is almost impossible. If people are basing their love of a city mainly on the cannabis business, then i think you/they have a problem.

If Denver is an overpriced, overhyped, rodent contaminated shithole with lots of local chem addicts who drink 6 times a week... it's pretty much the same as Amsterdam.

Ouch! Lol

. I've been to Boulder, CO in the past. Beautiful place. Would love to go back on a smokers trip.

Yeah I was just pushing it over the top. One could praise or exoriate any place on earth, it's just a matter of personal preference. Most people here wouldn't like to live in Holland - simply because its flat.

there's pro's and con's to each.
i mean, AMS has tons of mosquitoes cuz of the canal's.
denver probably doesnt.
food? better in denver.
air, outdoors stuff? better there.
coffeeshops and cool places to smoke? ams.
the history and culture? ams.
we could go on and on.
they're both good, they're both different.
i mean, it'd be great if we could combine them both and take the best from each.
wishful thinking.

it all depends on your stream of information .
if you know the right places to go , the farmside of holland can be more fun than NYC.
if you dont know the right places and names , a trip to indonesia might end up a trip to hell
All depends on decisions , and connections

hey i am not hating on Denver.
My end statement was they are different cities and impossible to compare. I actually didn't comment on Denver as i have never been there.

Ha ha. I live in Denver. I lived in Amsterdam. My sweetheart was born in Amsterdam and says Denver is better. Denver it is. It's a spectacular place nestled up against the Rocky Mountains with an incredible night life, dozens of micro brewery's, two theme parks, a water park, museums galore, a great public transport system, most places walkable, bike rentals everywhere, oh, and legal weed. But I may be a little biased as I love it here.
No helmet laws of any kind I might add. Rent a Harley and take a ride in the mountains.

I think it would be pretty silly to not wear a lid, especially on a bike made by a company famed for not going round corners so well ! Grab an open face lid if wearing a complete one doesn't float your boat =)

why are people still comparing the two and saying one is better than the other? two very different cities and countries.
water parks/theme parks are lame, the rest sounds okay apart from the harley.
