I get my hopes up when I see articles like this, but after reading the comments and seeing the attitude of the general public I don't think there is the public understanding or support as there is in Canada, the US, Spain, or any other country that is moving in the right direction with medicinal or recreational use.

Will keep my hopes up but I think there are still many years of flying to Holland before things change over here.

Good luck - would massively boost tourism (which I think is well down since the 1950's) - I got the impression it was a bit of a staid place - stand to be corrected.

It is a place that is chock full of very conservative retirees. Very much stuck in the past in regards to this issue. Can't see it happening anytime soon if ever.
