First time in Amsterdam 20 - 23 June

Post by ecfowle »

I'm heading in from Aus as part of a trip around Europe with my girlfriend. She's not a toker so I'm heading to Dam solo. Heaps of info and ideas on the board - if anyone has any tips on what's on, smoke, what's worth checking out, any meet ups i'm keen.

Interesting ... One doesn't have to be a toker to thoroughly enjoy Amsterdam. It is a beautiful city, after all ;-)

she is missing out there.. i would call it a stoke of luck for you. coffeeshops normally fill the day and night. theres a million things to do in dam (most not that good) what do you like most they have climbing walls, but no bouncy castles for adults, glo golf, hortis (i liked that + its cheap) if you are a big kid nemo was fun (get hammered before going in though) Do Not go to the Hemp hash museum, Heineken brewery and zoo were well overpriced like most places. rent a pedalo boat or pop on a cruise rent a kayak, bring a skateboard and theres a big ramp down zeeburg + loads of awesome graffiti. dab loads of shatter then get really bloody lost, have a perv down RLD. do you like parks ?. theres a free boat behind central station to north dam, train to haarlem or zanvort.... set up your own toke & talk

Yeah good point, but she doesn't like being around weed, so she'd enjoy it more on her own or with another non-smoker.

Just looked up Nemo and Hortus - def on the cards. Not a fan of things like heineken or hemp museums, but climbing walls and kayaks are always fun. Legend - nice one dude, you just made my trip that much better :D

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the June Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop
(your favorite) and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to
show up, if they do you'll have a T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your
favorite coffeeshop!

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

A half day trip to Haarlem or Utrecht is advised.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.

Enjoy

ecfowle,
I arrive tomorrow at AMS at about 8:00am. have a reservation at van gogh at 1pm. I plan on dropping my bags at the hotel and perhaps checking out Tweedy that is close to vondelpark to get in a good mood to view priceless works of art.

what time do the shops open?

really no major plans for the next few days, so let me know if you want to coordinate a T&T.
