Hello - OLD - New guy
Hello - OLD - New guy
Hey all.
New to board, and wanted to say Hi. At over 50 I was as a regular toker 20-30 years ago, but due to employment have only sparsely partaken since, and lost any connections and hardly at all over the last 10/12 years.
Now live 4 hours from DAM. Looking to make my first trip based on what I have read here. Looking for cheap places to stay, and possible events to meet others.
Since I will be driving and have opportunity to stop other places I am open to other cities as well.
Thanks for all the info all of you folks have posted.

Welcome to the forum.
What dates will you be in Amsterdam?
I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town and any Toke & Talks that are planned.
50, you are just getting started, when I was 50, you were only in your 30's.
Enjoy

I work a strange schedule. My weekends ate usually Tuesday and Wednesday. Looking at one of the upcoming Tuesdays. I'll let you know when plans are firmer.
Was looking at maybe a stay at Voyagers but was unsure of parking nearby. Is there a public parking garage or the sorts. Don't want to drive once I get there.
Re: Hello - OLD - New guy
Hi and welcome, I am a newbie here myself.
I usually park my car somewhere in Osdorp, there are several big parking places where you don't have to pay. Then I take Tram 1 to the center from there (takes about 35 mins). Some people may say it is not the safest neighborhood to let your car unattended but the people who live there also have their cars there and I have never had a problem in the over 10 times I've been there in the last 3 years.
I live also 4,5 hours south southeast away from Amsterdam

Looking at finding a P+R site and riding in atet doing a little more research.
And thanks for the warning on strength. I gather that it is higher after reading many posts. Definitely want to take it slow, and pick out the right herbs. Looking at making several trips in the upcoming months. Will try to post in advance travel plans. Would like to maybe meet some like minded folks.
