hello from the grey isle that is the uk

Post by kaveman »

hello everyone

wanted to give a big thanks to everyone on here, over the years I've enjoyed reading some of your tips and especially the Travelogues.
they have given me numerous advice here and there, plus enormous pleasure when back home from the place we love just sitting back with a smoke and envisioning

so I'm going be back next week, first trip in a while, and I just found out about the late openings which is a real shame but we won't let that get us down. What's different about this trip is I haven't actually smoked for 5 months so that's going to be interesting.

anyway thanks

k

yeah that's for sure, I mean I was a long term smoker before this break and been to dam many many times over the last 10 years, but none with such a long break like this, that first inhalation is going to be crazy

You have been posted on the June Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop
(your favorite) and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to
show up, if they do you'll have a T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your
favorite coffeeshop!

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.

Enjoy

I'm also curious. Sitting at Bristol airport waiting for my flight now. I'm in a similar boat as my tolerance levels are very low compared to a couple of years back. Worried about instantly turning into a mumbling zombie :P

okay that first spliff was just crazy, probably not the best idea to smoke some premium strain either but then wasn't too sure it was going to be that intense (should have known), well first of all brought a couple of strains from voyagers but left those for later, which were both lovely can't remember the names now, think one was a lemon variety- lovely taste

then went to de graal and bought a gram of high rise (the name is a pretty good description) I was quite shocked how my rolling skills just came back to me instantly definitely like riding a bike, so the first few tokes weren't too bad in terms of effects and then boom. in all my life I've never been as high as that, its hard to describe the total feelings but the mind and all the senses were on fire (not in a bad way - just really really intense) only ended up smoking half the zoot there before it felt wise to get some air and just walk around the city a bit, wasn't really a mumbling zombie samadora but then it would be interesting to see from another person's perspective, hope all went well for you and you had a nice trip. probably an hour later got a dominoes pizza and munched it in the Sarphati park, now that was just amazing (also throughout this trip the munchies kicked in hard for the whole week - green definitely makes food ultra tasty). then after the munch had the rest of the spliff in the park which was ideal. in all I think I only had two spliffs the first day but then I did arrive at 6pm. the next day was pretty intense as well in terms of smoking but then the body was able to get use to it again. still though the whole week I was as high a cloud all the time.
