Travelling to London in October

Yooo English Folk,

I'll be in London Thursday 23-10-2014 till Sunday 26-10-2014 .
I'll be going to see David Icke at Wembley on Saturdays from 10:00 till 20:00 .

So if anybody has any tips on a good , not to pricey B&B or hotel that would be great.
Other tips are welcome too

If anybody could gimme a tour on friday that would be cool too .....

here's quite a nice B+B in Kilburn, which is only 2 stops away form Wembley

Good pub below it too.. Kilburn is easy to get into the centre on town too (there's 24-hour night buses which run form Oxford Circus) and tubes and overland trains there too.

Still a bit pricey , 180 for 3 nights . But the place looks cool indeed

London is pretty freakin expensive dude.. think you'll struggle to find much for under £50/night, unless you go for hostels.

AirBnB might be a better shout? What type of area do you want to stay in? (ie- Quite central/touristy, cool/trendy/arty, quiet/ leafy/near a park, etc) I'll be able to recommend some places.

en-suite bathrooms is my first criteria in selecting accommodations, but you have fun you are saving a lot and you are young enjoy your trip to London report back if you care,

Ha ha nice.. i used to live about 3-streets away from that place.

Not a bad area, pretty quiet, not a lot to do in Wilesden. You'll be equal distance between Wilesden and Kilburn. Head to Kilburn if you want to go for a pint/get food.

In Kilburn I recommed:

Cheap food:
Woody Grill - amazing charcoal Turkish place, the kebabs are amazing - proper meat, not mechanically processed shit http://www.woody-grill.com/

Spicy Basil - Cheap, good thai food. Not very fancy to look at from the outside but the food is excellent and very well priced, they do delivery too.. http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/52/1427339/ ... asil-Brent

There's Nando's in Kilburn too, which is alright.

Pubs:
North London Tavern is the best around there. Not cheap (but London isnt cheap!) but worth it. http://www.metropolitanpubcompany.com/o ... #fooddrink

Black Lion mentioned above is also good although they dont have any beers on tap (bottles only) which has kinda ruined the pub in my opinion.

AVOID the irish pubs on Kilburn High Road at all costs unless you want to get your head kicked in by IRA scumbags.

You're also pretty close to Queens Park too which is VERY nice, quite upmarket and trendy (Sienna Millar, Lilly Allen and the Editor of Vogue all live around there). There's a couple of nice restaurants near there.. the Alice House being one of them (http://www.thealicehouse.co.uk/). The Salusbury food store is on that main road too and does some of the best Pizzas in London (IMO) http://thesalusburyfoodstore.co.uk/

Oh and the N98 nightbus stops right outside that hostel. It goes direct to Maida Vale, Edgware Road, Marble Arch, Oxford Street, Totenham Court Road, etc ... so perfect for getting into the centre of town and they run all night. Takes about 40-minutes to get to the top of Oxford Street from there

There are about 4-5 on the Kilburn High Road. As a rule of thumb:

If they look cheap (ie cheap beer prices)
Are a bit run down
Advertise Gaelic Football
Have a harp anywhere in their logo

AVOID!

that took me back almost 20 yrs to the night I 1st took Wifey to meet my mum , dropped a mate & his gf off at the Maida Vale end & while driving back along the high road , 1 guy came flying out of the doors of 1 of the pubs , straight into the road with 3 more straight after him , battered him with pool cues , apologised for making us stop , dragged him out of the road & threw him on the binbags outside & went back in, Wifey's face was a shocked picture

Coming from a sleepy herts village , her other memory of Kilburn,Harlesden,Stonebridge is lots of burnt out cars & smashed up shops , haven't been down there in ages.
