Budget Trianon Hotel

Post by sensismiler »

Anyone stayed here? I'm not expecting luxury, just cleanliness and minimal pest invasion. If not can anyone recommend anywhere? The more popular choices ie voyagers are all booked up and all the recommendations Ive found on here are also fully booked.

I'm off for 3 days from 14th Aug with a pal and last time I booked a dirty mice ridden dive and he wasnt impressed haha. So this time Im trying to get it right!

Haha yeah I guess it would. I'd say £100 a night is our absolute max but of course the cheaper the better. As I said were not after luxury but we wouldn't turn it down either.

I have a feeling you're going to recommend priceline or whatever the bidding site is? I will look into that but it would be nice to have a safety net should I not get lucky with the bidding. Plus the flight cost cleaned my bakn account out. You need to pay upfront on priceline right?

We found a pretty nice apartment in De Pijp for £200 so no we're all set now. Thanks for replying anyway!

I've had good experience with Air BnB (personally in Germany and Italy, and friends have in Amsterdam), and you can usually find places within £100 a night quite comfortably ! Also alot of places have a kitchen, which gives you the option to cook for yourself and save more money (obviously not a choice for everyone, but hey nice to know it's there)

Thanks Padge. I have looked on air bnb before but I completely forgot about it. If the apartment I've booked falls through then I'll take a look. The one I've booked has air con and a large balcony so it'll take some beating. It supposedly has a hot tub too but I reckon that's gonna turn out to be a bath!
