Amsterdam= Access to the human experience (coffeeshops)

I've been to both. I'm not into the Denver scene. I'm into good weed but I can get good weed without leaving home, so that's not enough to get me on the plane. I'm into the freedom to smoke it openly. Denver's great, the weed is regulated and reliably high-quality, and it's much cheaper for me to go there, but if I'm going on a weed vacation, it's going to be Amsterdam, for the coffeeshops. If I'm going for a buy-and-fly weed vacation, it's going to be Barcelona, for the beaches.

If I liked winter sports or mountain climbing, or didn't have to go to Denver annually on business anyway, the answer might be different. But from the climate perspective -- and I'm not talking about the weather -- Amsterdam has it all over Denver, not even close.

It should not even be an argument as to the airline cost...my point being that your local geography will make your airfare expensive or not-so-expensive. That is a fact of life...at least since we've had commercial airlines. Always has been, always will be. If you live closer to AMS, it won't cost as much to fly there...DUH! Does this really surprise ANYONE?

I choose to save my money for Amsterdam: airfare, hotel, food, WEED... I am NEVER surprised at the price of my ticket, certainly not surprised that it would be cheaper to fly to Denver... It's all relative. We all spend our money on what makes sense to ourselves...not what makes sense to others...

I love Amsterdam for the coffeeshops. I meet like-minded people from all over the world. I've been to Denver (my dad lived there for 4 years) and it's a great place! Though I've never smoked weed there, I'd love to! I have family and friends that still live there so I'd have a place to smoke. There wouldn't be any socializing with other smokers though...bummer...but we could go to the mountains!!!!

Amsterdam and the Netherlands is the only place in the world were you can sit in a Coffeeshop, it seems to me that every were else is going to great lengths to prevent that business model from being duplicated. :(

I could book a week in Amsterdam and know that I could fill my days and nights with art, music, culture and weed  I'm afraid in CO that goal will require much more travel, and I still have to be careful with my smoking :(

All that being said were are planing 420 in Denver for 2015, would like to call a T&T but don't know were yet :)

There are at least four cannabis clubs in Denver and three in Colorado springs according to posts in this thread. Why is everyone whining about no place to smoke?
