Hi guys,

I'm going down to the dam in 11 days. We aren't allowed to smoke in our hostel but we plan on trying salvia for the first time. I think its best to do it in a bong, but where could we do it? It might not be practical to bring a bong in a park somewhere. Any suggestions on how to smoke it and where to do it? Cheers.

It is safe if you use it properly, but you have to find how to do it properly. There was an old thread on it read that. You gotta have a windproof lighter or butane torch and it is really mad shit. Don't act like a tosser, research what your about to do and make sure you do it in a safe location, you feel safe and you lock the windows, dumb cunts thing they can fly.

I only know one dude who did it. Said it was intense, but either way, it only lasts 10 minutes max so I figure it would be ok if its over quickly. I'll try and find that other post thanks.

All the other salvia posts are at least a couple years old so I might as well continue here. Is it ok to do in a joint? I figure we'd start tripping before we could even finish it but I have never done it before so I don't know. Is doing in public a bad idea? It would have to be in a park.

Bong rip or pipe. Must have a windproof lighter or butane torch. Joint won't do it. It is used in a ceremony by Shamans. The ask the lady sativa an unanswerable question, one that no person could possibly answer and they reflect on this question as they use the Salvia. After the use and within the next few days your question will be answered and you will know it has been. It is not really meant to be used as a recreational thing. It is very intense tripping you may get out of body experiences, audio trips, visuals, hot face, giggles, a feeling sensations of your face being scrunch or drawn to the middle of your face. People can have real bad trips on it, if they are around people they don't trust or if they are genuinely a dickhead and act up to much on it. Don't go jumping round. Don't stand up high or sit in a high chair where you could fall off. It is best to do it on the floor and have the windows locked if you are up high. I would try a lesser grade first and then try a 5 times 20 times or 8 times Salvia later if you can handle it. It also seems to get stronger the more you use it, meaning each time you will need less and to me this means something is building up in your body.

Yeah Cloudmaster, the vast majority of people who tried it said only good things. Thanks Slip & Sal, its not really just for the fun of it that I'm doing it. I am interested in the experience. And Yeah RVansteensel, I've always wanted to try DMT but have no idea where to find it. I think you can order some ayahuasca on amazon, is that the same?

Personally I don't have experience with classic psychedelics(Mescaline, LSD/LSA, (5-MeO-)DMT, Psilocybin/Psilocin etc.)because I never really wanted to trip but always was interested and remember well when all that - especially mushrooms - appeared around me and my friends.
I too remember well when a close mate ordered spores and grew psilocybe cubensis('mexican')back in the mid ninetees(as Phalaris) and I was among other people a tripsitter for him.

Bottom line: I find it real scary how uninformed and clueless you come across, Elliottcaudron(By the way: RvanSteensel's comment was uncalled for that matter as well). I'm not saying don't trip I'm saying inform yourself well as your mind isn't really a playground and if anything goes too wrong your life will never be the same again.
I've seen people taking it too easy. To some point it's their own fault though as you can prevent all that so easily.
