Post by alpen rock »

Holla

So lets hear what you Brit folks (non GB citizen also welcome to chime in  ) have in your sleeve when it comes to having a proper fish n chips in AMS...or an affordable, fresh seafood/fish place
Not really a fish and chips but the fish shop near Katsu make some nice cod kibelings

Cheers fr yr answers

Ok, thanks folks!

I guess Ill stick to kibelings, or try Laplace's chippy as suggested (I know for sure they have VERY fresh fish, so this might be a safe bet...)
Or maybe pay a visit to the motherland of fishn chips one of these days lol

Stick to Devon and Cornwall then, I have to travel a good few miles for decent fish n chips, everyplace here and around the country in places I have worked and lived are awash with kebab shops, the fish sucks from them places IMO.

Can recommend, oceans @ benbow st, Plymouth, PL2 1BX as having legendary status, any place in Lynton north devon always delivers quality. Enjoy

Also this is of course only my opinion of the places I have tried, I have not tried all the chippy a in the u.k but only a few

Thanks for the recomendations amigos!
didn't know it was that hard to find a proper chippy in the UK these days...
Ironically, the last good one I had was in the center of one of the temple of French gastronomy...the city of Lyon...if

I went once to Clapham, in the back of a carribean food hole in the wall...I didn't buy no food in here  funny situation...fun times
