Help for a tourist from Italy

Post by Marco1989 »

Hello.
I am Marco from Venice, Italy.
It's the first topic I open here so sorry if I'm violating any forum rule I didn't know about.

I have some questions for you that I hope you may be able to answer.

I am travelling to Eindhoven in a couple of days and relax there until next Tuesday. I know that buying weed there is forbidden to tourists, but I was trying to find a way. Is there any known coffee shop in Eindhoven where you know that if I can ask politely they won't bother? I am travelling alone, not around to make a mess or such stuff. Also, I don't want to smoke inside the coffeeshop (I know it's not possible for non-Dutch people) and I will buy maybe a couple of grams.

Also, will a Dutch boy or girl find it offensive if I ask them to buy a couple grams for me when I see them going inside a coffee shop?

The last question: what is the nearest city reachable by bus or train where I can buy a couple of grams? It is illegal to travel with weed in your pocket inside trains? If yes, is it particularly dangerous for a tourist?

I've seen that some websites suggest in Hertogenbosch / Den Bosch (very close to Eindhoven) there wouldn't be so many problems. If you can give me some helpful information of any sort, I would thank you. If you are around Eindhoven, I will also offer you a beer and a joint :)

Thank you everybody.
Bye
Marco

Thank you very much. What about nearby cities where I can find more tourist-friendly shops than in Eindhoven? Is Hertogenbosch fine? One guy in another forum said yes but I'm Not sure.

Thanks again.

Go to Utrecht, 45 mins by train, great city:) Den Bosch should be fine, but there's no need in getting yourself down if it's not gonna work out. Utrecht is much much nicer:)(coffeeshop scene included)

I thought Den Bosch was in the forbidden zone. If it's not then I will be a very happy chappy :D . It's a beautiful little city I love it, and it's a great base for touring southern Holland.
Also the birthplace of course of Heironymous Bosch :P :?
What a long strange trip it is.

If you're travelling from Eindhoven to Utrecht by train, I can pm you the number for a guy that is gonna make your trip cheaper. Just text him on whatsapp in advance(couple hours before is fine, a day before is even better). And yeah, Hi/Lo is in Utrecht, but definitely check out T'grasje as madmaxxx had mentioned before. Some quality shit there:D The closest from station is imho Andersom, or maybe it's just me always going out the same entrance that is closest;D
