Bicycles are pretty popular Last time I went to Star Bikes ( not far from C.Station ) 45 Europeans for 5 days i think.

Yes, get a multi day pass and learn to use the trams. You can walk, but you make more efficient use of your time with the tram or bus.

You can always get more stash at the coffeeshop, you can get cash at the ATM, but you can't buy more time.

Leidseplein is a good stop for trams, several stop there going in different directions.

I Hired a bike with the mrs last new years best way so far to get around.
Ride from rokin to club media in 13mins flat, i think i could have done it in less as well if mrs wasnt to nervous on the bike

+1 trams are cool, just swipe in and out with 24-72 hour pass for unlimited journeys

Excellent point! Especially since our time on this planet is pretty limited.

For me it's walk or bike I like to see as much as I can wen in Amsterdam, plus gettin lost can add to the adventure
