made a little run around some southern shops yesterday and sampled the entries.

original dampkring
cheesedog €12 could have a much better trim the nugs are a bit loose and i have had better cheese dawg back in England. not a winner.
dab harry or WTF they call it? €15/0.2g translucent Amber gooey shard. tiny amount will be gone in a couple of hits. strong stuff but could be cheaper. terrible container will need to freeze.

Barney's (rembrandt)
cookie s kush €14 got one really dense kush nug which looks the part but a few loose and bad trim nugs on the side. strong aroma from this one. smoked the dense kush nug last night and it had a great taste and effect. very strong contender so far.

caremella cream €18? had this before pretty much the same not sure if it's special enough to win but okay.

cookies cream €55 going by the video i was looking forward tot his one. in the shop it looked completely different. I wa shown a very thin slab on dark hash, almost black in colour, nothing like the brown caramel fudge looking piece of hash. going to check again at the other shop.

Chocolate rain €12 Loved the smell of this one and the smell comes out in the taste. never found it very strong though. kind of like a nice after dinner smoke, for taste and smell it is close to the top.

girl scout choco cookies €11 crazy sweet smell and very crystal coated. smell didn't come out in the smoke but it had a unique taste. potency does not match the cookies kush from barneys though.

tangie blok hash €8.5 soft light brown hash looks like a bit of soft maroc. on the inside it almost had a brown to yellow colour and was maybe still wet? It did not burn fully in the bong later. just smoldered slowly.


Greenhouse tolstreet in pipe No cannabis cup entries on sight. go to center i got told. expensive menu!

Daamn, great work ManBearPig! As a fellow south park fan i'm really satisfied with your reviews:) But go as Ron suggests to green place, their Reek'n'ice looked seriously powerful on the hash entries movie. If it's strenght and taste is on par with looks, that must be a bomb.

specifically to check and probably buy the hash entry. the video makes it look like a gooey golden green brown piece of amazingness...... well for €55 per pre weighed gram i got shown a container of what looked like a gold unpressed ice hash, small grains nothing impressive. they had a reekan nectar for €60 on the menu but had none in stock. bought a gram of the sour tangie for €15 very impressive smell and a light. overall the service was shit in here, the staff well all standing around chatting to people. massive que at the desk and the one person serving was emptying ahs trays and clearing tables instead of serving, then proceeded to yell at everyone in the que for blocking the entrance. complete false advertising on the video.

Green House
judges get a nice pack, valued at over €50 and they can buy for €25. 1.2g pure kush(€18) greenhouse ice and lemon haze cream. cannot remember the prices on those two. The pure kush for €18 seemed like a rip off..... along with the rest of the high priced menu, candy kush €17? i left as quick as i entered.

Barneys
Cookies kush €14 again amazing smell, nicer kush nugs with a good trim. I can even smell this 5gram purchase €65 without opening the baggy. they chucked in the free round pop seel tin.

ps. all the judges i saw were getting freebies but i did not see a notice saying how much they were to get. i did see the guy weighing cookies kush for people and he was giving them 0.6g i think free of charge


cookies ice cream €55 again got showed a thin dark slate of hash. almost black on the outside with tinges of yellow green on the inside. For €20 more i would prefer a gram of the dab harry from dampkring.

Barney's Cookie Kush yep did stink, really earthy/kushy. Smoke was alright, nothing amazing or memorable except the taste - really strong flavour - not my kind of thing like lemon. tbh, I think it was still a tiny bit too fresh as it could have burned a little nicer - that's not to say it burned badly. 14eur a gram - so actually cheaper than their last cup winners (for now)
Their Caramella Cream too is quite nice, a little sticky but still needs a small bit of fire to smoothen it up.

Got the Grey Area - new menu, no more wardereeken :'( Got 1.5g of their weed entry - Greybone, haven't smoked yet though. Got totally distracted by some other strain, which I can't remember the name of but will when I see the menu - shows how great it is as I already forgot the name, really nice smoke though - the last strain on the menu I think

Going to try explore some more mainly weed entries across town tomorrow

The tangie from voyagers is my fav so far, 12eu x gr already bought 4 gr of that , lovely taste and smell of mandarin,,, perfect for wake and bakes.

Tried the greybone aswell... defntly a contender 15e(or16?) x gr if i remember correctly

Hear, hear! I think I've got a similar approach as I've got access to local decently priced homegrown luckywise so since years(but it's not fair to compare it to coffeeshop wiet but I always keep it in mind) I mostly look out for good hashish as the real good stuff only appears every now and then around here. Also I noticed weed quality going really downhill since at least 2010, you have to look so much harder now to find the nice ones.
I wasn't after weed this cup as well but what I was shown didn't impress me at all especially those stupid prices considered they were asking for. I at least expected good quality during this time of the year. Old story!

Big Budda Bubblegum from El Guapo - Quite a nice buzz but could have burned better. Not a pleasant smell - smells like hay, maybe still fresh - the buzz is good though. Nice guy in the coffeeshop too, nice menu.

Got some Neville's Haze from Cafe 420, nice big buds for 2g - doesn't smell of much. Haven't smoked yet but looks really nice and dry - well prepared. Nice friendly budtender too

Strawberry Haze from New Times - Hadn't been here before, looks pretty nice + friendly service and nice menu so plan to definitely return. The strawberry haze smells soooo nice, definitely amnesia in there - I asked what it was a cross of but he wasn't sure except for some definite Amnesia. Can really smell it and smells delicious, can't wait to smoke it If it smokes as well as it smells I'm definitely going back for more

Leading strain out of what I've had now (these + cookie kush + greybone) is definitely greybone from grey area so far, smoked nice and really nice buzz. Going to go get some more of the entries tomorrow evening, last day of the cup!

Smoked a joint of the strawberry haze from new times - really nice buzz though I did have 2 la chouffes before that put me in a good mood

Below the caramella cream is Jbel Tidghine from Betty Too - their hash entry; nice and soft and a bit sticky. They were low on the chocolate rain so will return tomorrow - really nice service there.

Got Somari from Old Church, prebagged - 2x 1g and smells nice, nice big single buds in each.

C6 Pioneer from Tweede Kamer; they were out of Noord 2000 so will return for that. C6 definitely has the smell of C5 but a punch of something else I'm not sure and quite different. LOoks really nice, one main big bud - feels perfectly dry and nice crystals. From appearance this definitely looks like a contender for first.

Tesla from Dolphins - the name even a bit cheesy sorta won me over with this tbh, used to live near here but never went and was a little put off by some reviews here. WOuld happily go back, nice interiors, really friendly guy despite really being busy friendly and patient with everyone; could hear another female colleague helping some people behind me who sounded like newbies to weed. Prebagged in their own style paper baggies with a sticky label seal - can't see through them but opened up feel likes nice dry buds, alright smell and looks nice and crystals. Looking forward to trying it.


So it's the last night of the cup tonight + start of the weekend for me so I'll now get to properly enjoy some of these. Gonna finish the collection off tomorrow with Voyager's Tangie; Dutch Flower's 420 Haze; Twede Kamer's Nord 2000; Betty Too's Chocolate Rain. I'll try update a small review of strain over time though won't try to overdo it so I can properly judge them - everything's very hazy right now so I'm place bets after one smoke tomorrow will like Ice Cube says, a good day
