Interesting story about the brass cast. It was anonymously set amongst the paving one night outside the Oude Kerk in the RLD. It became a bit of a talking point as no one knew who put it there. One day, in their wisdom, the Amsterdam council removed the cast as it had been put there illegally. Outrage ensued amongst many in the community and under pressure the council agreed to put it back.
