Re: MPs oppose Amsterdam trials with mopeds on the roads

I cycle all over and the only thing that scares me on the roads are mopeds. There is just no way or time to avoid them on those tiny cycle strips. It is not really fit for purpose to have mopeds on them anyway. That much is plain to see.
If more moped drivers stopped driving around like fucking twats then the system might actually work. For example is more people showed consideration for each other and not having their eyes on the prize/running for the cheese then it would work just fine. Unfortunately there appear to be quite a lot of fucking arrogant bullying knobs on wheels. Slow down and drive more cautiously and you'll not die in droves you cunts. Not like I give a fuck. People can do what they like but some innocent cyclist/pedestrian might be killed cos of these fuckers. It is like they think that having a moped somehow makes them special or better than cyclists or pedestrians. It is always the mopeds that run red lights on the cycle lane and that is what I'd say causes most accidents. That is what has nearly done me in the past as well while I've been on foot.
Having to pass a special moped test in order to drive in Amsterdam and having very strong penalties for moped traffic infringement might be a start.
