I've been looking at loads of coffee shop reviews and videos, but I'm stI'll unsure on what to do first thing when I get there.

So, what was the first thing you did, the first time you visited dam?

Walked into coffeeshop bullwackie bought 2g of cheese and rolled a fatty this seems to get repeated every time I go now

Just go to the nearest coffeeshop, get high, wander around. stop at another coffeeshop, get higher, do more wandering and repeat the first two steps. It is a beautiful city. Take a boat ride at night to enjoy the light festival (if it is still going on) in a day or two you will begin to understand the city. Have your list of shops you want to visit, have a good map, have fun.

all of the above and what anybody else says too ... but whatever you do don't forget to carry your ID as you will be asked for it - doesn't matter how old you are or look - got to have ID

You won't always get asked to produce ID, I've been over a dozen times and never once been asked to show anything, granted it's common sense to carry ID incase you get knocked over by a tram or worse...
