They've also got falafel at De Foodhallen. You should also consider Indian and Surninamese food. For Surinamese food, I really like Warung Mini on the Ceintuurban in De Pijp(there are a bunch of good Surinamese places in that neighborhood.) For Indian, I've heard good things about Ashoka on Spuistraat near Nieuwezijds Kolk.

All of the better restaurants in Amsterdam offer vegetarian options, it is actually pretty amazing!

If you are looking for a special evening out, go to De Kas!

High!

For a more "westerner" vegan/veggie experience, I'd recommend you to try De Bolhoed, in the Jordaan, on Prinsengracht.
Its not particularly cheap (but hey, we're in amsterdam!!), but the food is freshly prepared and very tasty!
There is a wide range of different courses to suit all tastes.I would try to avoid dishes with too much ingredients mixed together (e.g enchiladas), you tend to taste none of them at the end of the day !
We paid around 50 EUR for 2, for one main course and drinks. They do not accept credit cards.
Word is tht their desserts are top notch...

Enjoy!

yup their pies are to die for! Great soups too. Good advice about the too many ingredient dishes!
