Have any of you had any experience with this? I'm a little worried because I don't want a huge fine and/or imprisonment if the Train Authorities say my the ticket isn't good enough. That's some truly paranoid shit, HUH? Well I'm always worried and the weed don't help. Should I not be worried and go ahead and buy the cheaper rate and print them at home here in America? Or should I wait?

Ya it,s fine just make sure your name on your passports the same on the ticket.I just got mine for after 420 Amsterdam,Hamburg then to Coppanhagen save lots if you buy ahead and reserve your spot at a time you prefer.Hope you have a good one Roll on 420

Yeah, why would they care where the ticket was printed? As a matter of fact, if you plan on traveling in Germany, you can download the app from Deutsche Bahn and buy your ticket through the app. The app then downloads your ticket and it's available on your phone. No printing required. I've been doing that for a couple of years now.

In Germany, if you book your ticket at least 1 day ahead (max 90 days), you can get the "Sparpreis", which is, generally a good deal, up to 50% below the standard price. The catch is that you can then only use the specific train you booked. With standard tickets you can grab any train (of the ticket category).

No, that should not be a probem. If it was, their system shouldn't let you buy the ticket with a blank prefix field

I dont trust technology enough to rely on just having the ticket on my phone, i still print off 2 hard copies. Another option, at least in uk is collection from a machine on the station.
