How many euros do you spend a day...?
... in a coffeshop?
I've seen the menu, but im talking bud PLUS drinks (coffee, soda, oj, juice, or whatever) and maybe a snack.
Im just trying to get a feel for how much it might cost a day to smoke nicely and snack nicely ;P

hi hugs that's a hard one to call as it depends on how much weed your gonna smoke and how much your happy to pay out , you can find weed from 6-15 euros a gram , i've found that most of my money go's on drinks as i allways get dry when smoking ,
i normaly give my self between 50 -70 euros a day but everyone does thing's their own way, have fun let us know how you got on

it really does depend on where you smoke, what and how much you smoke and all the extras that go with it... I plan to take arounf €75 out with me each morning... smoke, drink, food and still some cash should i fancy buying a gift to take home, or something for myself...
probably will head out with €50 for the evening... more if eating a proper meal in a proper restaurant
would'nt like to spend all that but would hate worse to not have enough cash on me...

Yeah, ive seen the menus.. so I have a clue for how much weed costs. Im just trying to figure out how much everyone spends, because I can relate that to me. Most people who have smoked weed a while know the difference between good and bad and won't settle for less
So, I guess it all depends on how many coffeeshops you hit up in a day and actually buy gear in. I was thinking atleast a 100 euros a day to eat, smoke, snack, drinks, bud, and so forth...
On a side note... do you guys usually go solo or with a friend? Sometimes that can have an affect on price... but im also interested in doing a solo trip in the future. Maybe trying out Amsterdam on my own.

That's exactly how much I'm budgeting for 7 days. My hotel and breakfast are already paid...I don't drink any alcohol, and probably smoke less than most, so I think I'll be alright.Stygian23 wrote:My last trip I spent $430 a day. $3000 for 7 days. That was food, drinks, buds and shroomage. Shrug. Guess it very much depends on how much you smoke, eat, and party while yer there. It's very easy to burn through cash in Amsterdam. Very easy.
I think as Bluenote has pointed out you can spend how ever much you like in Amsterdam...same as anywhere. If you looking for an idea of a minimum to expect then €50 - €100 should see most people smoked, fed and watered for the day. Its a case of what you NEED to spend, if you in a generous group then you could spend less!!
You missed it right?

Nope. Airfare and Hotel were $1550 on top of that. I smoke too much is what it boils down to. Shrug. It really isn't that hard to spend $450 American in a day on yourself there. Not hard at all.711 wrote:3000, wow. Does that include airfare, accommodation, and intercity travel as well?

If you're a budget traveler, don't be deterred by reports of people spending E300-400 per day. Personal finance is exactly that, and it's all up to the individual, what you're doing, and how much of it you're doing. Like Stygian said, it's not hard to spend that much, especially for a heavy smoker -- but if you're a budget traveler, it's not hard to spend a lot less, either.
You can eat on the cheap from storefront restaurants and supermarkets, walk except when you really have to take transportation, don't go to every museum, avoid alcohol, don't buy a bunch of souvenirs, don't get lured into a kamer, have a plan for buying from coffeeshops with competitive weed prices, and still smoke yourself into oblivion for E100 per day or less (plus lodging).

Tipping is a nice jesture and important in some places. BUT, the tip is built into the price of the food. In Holland it is customary to only round up. If the bill is 48 Euro you leave 50. If its 24.20 Euro, you leave 25. If you leave 15% anywhere besides a tourist place, the owner will follow you out of his restaurant to give you your change. Don't insult them by over tipping. I have made this mistake in the past. It really is a mistake.cattales1960 wrote:My girlfriend and I spent about 300 euros a day which with the exchange rate last year totalled about $450 a day. so I am planning spending about 2400 euros while I am there this time. We tip well
