Unfortunately the answer is "quite a few". Warmoestraat has very few left and any remaining there are due to close. Elsewhere in the centre the likes of Anyday, Homegrown Fantasy and Abraxas Too have closed, while Utopia, Mellow Yellow, Little and De Graal are among those who can only open at 6pm on school days and close at the end of the year.
There's a full list on here somewhere of all the ones closed or restricted due to the school thing if you search for a thread titled something like "list of coffeeshops due to close,", doesn't include the ones shut on Warmoestraat though.

That's what socialists do, create a problem and then try to fix it:)

Wtf? It sounds like a prohibition movement is taking place in Amsterdam. At this rate, they'll be no coffeeshops in a couple years. Are the pro-cannabis pro-coffeeshop people fighting the good fight or have they just capitulated?
I've watched many videos on youtube of The Rookies and that's one of the top coffeeshops on my list to go to

If you want to experience any of the magic of old Amsterdam you'd better stop planning to go and just go.
Don't forget to visit the hookers, they're closing de Wallan even faster than the coffeeshops.

Amsterdam resident here.
Any shop in 250meter range of a school gets closed.
My favourite coffeeshop "roxy" got closed a couple of months ago too because people did a driveby on the shop.
De kroon will be closed soon too because it got shot up

Hi all as far as i know de kroon is closing for the same reason as the 420 (just across the street))
ie within 250 meters of a school!!
not to do with the shooting that happend a few years ago now. 2011 in fact
(see
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zbHoRThWfQ fora tv report and security cam shot)
it is on the list for the 250m rule.
all the best
