Re: Exodus Cheese

Post by CloudMaster »

Hello,

Barney's have recently released a new strain to their collection called triple cheese which purports to be a cross from an exodus cut and blue cheese back crossed.

Don't know if they have it in-store as yet but its advertised as 100% broad leaf genetics and boasts up to 22% THC and 0.9% CBD.

Has anyone tried this yet and if so what are your thoughts on it?

Cheers

I'm assuming that the triple cheese isn't available in their shop yet?

We all have our own unique physiology and thc receptors are different in each of us.

What's not good for you could be magic to someone else so why slate a strain just because you don't like it.

Different horses for different courses.

The effects I described are what most people get from smoking it, including all the people who've smoked it with me, so if you're getting a different effect, then you're lucky, as effect-wise, this is an average strain. For taste and flavour, this is an outstanding strain. Potency 7.5/10, taste/flavour (if you like that kind of thing), 9/10.

(31 independent reviews)
Leafly is a good start for strain research but its pretty basic non scientific information, 31 reviews is not really enough data based on the millions who've consumed it. For an average strain its pretty popular, less so now as it doesn't have the words "kush" in its title and newer strains introduced.

Those in the field of medicinal extraction will tell you that the cannabinoid compounds and terpenes extracted from this strain are more than "average". This can be said of many strains not just Cheese!

I don't smoke (combust), lose too many active ingredients through the process and don't enjoy all the contaminants associated with smoking. Prefer vaping and edibles as its better for your health and you get much better effects imo. The effects of vaping and smoking are very different for a lot of folks.

Sounds like strain overkill.

The key for me is rotation of strains, that way the THC receptors don't get too normalised to anyone set of compounds. Consuming one strain continuously over time does make it average for me, like to keep my tolerances down and continue feeling the effects too.

Having a choice is good because you can have a whole cocktail of effects, its fun trying new stuff out too obviously. Personally had the luck to sample around 30 different cheese crosses and some of them are definitely top shelf. The quality of the grow often dictates the quality of the strain. A good grower can make an average strain something special and vice versa.

I would have to agree with kingbee, especially in regards to street dealers labelling everything "cheese" or "lem". I used to have a greater variety available to me before I moved to the South West around 3 years ago, and at that time, I used to jump at the opportunity to get some well grown Cheese.

But now however, it seems as if the folks down here don't get anything other than cheese. I'm sick to death of it, and it really bugs me when my friends buy cheese from ams coffeeshops as it is readily available here, with little to no gap in quality.

I'm not gonna say it doesn't taste delicious, because most of the time it does. But in my opinion it just doesn't compare to the "high end elite" strains as kingbee put it.

CloudMaster is definitely right in regards to receptors becoming normalised to strains, and even more so in saying that it's different horses for different courses. That's what makes this fun I guess. Imagine if we all agreed on everything. :)

All is good.

We are all different, very different it seems. I'd be happy with Blue Cheese as a fall back all day every day.

Im a big fan of Buddha's Tahoe, that would be my favourite cheese cross.

This is what I like about ACD, you can have a discussion without it turning into fight like on other forums I could mention. I wonder if there is a "favourite strain" poll vote article hidden away on here somewhere? Mind you it would be a job to allocate the choices collate all the votes I suppose.

Yeh for me its all about the terps - flavour and taste.... the smell. When you get some real exodus cheese it absolutely stinks - one of the smelliest strains I've encountered if not THE top.

Kingbee, out of interest, what strains do you class among your favourite? I'm thinking if you regard cheese as poor quality even when grown well, I wanna know what you're smoking!
