Gulpener. I'm not a drinker, but I had one glass of it last summer, and it was a really tasty lager. If I were a drinker, I would've had 10 more.

I'm rather ashamed to say the my "mother's milk" is Budweiser- I know, I know, but around here it's a local beer. I look forward to drinking something that I can't find down the street every day.

Any Belgian Beers

Post by nickwusz »

The possibilities are endless! Stay away from Grolsch and Stella and Heinekin--you can get that shit back home. Try a Westmalle Tripel or a Rochefort 10 (which you should also be able to get in the US),, or even Chimay Bleu. These are fine, quality ales from the beeriest place on the planet, Belgium.

A couple places to get these beers and to smoke while you enjoy them:

Cafe Belgique
Cafe Tapureugd

For the largest selection of beer in Amsterdam, pay a visit to de Bierkoning. Thier site:
