Where to rent bike

Post by spliphy2 »

O.K., I've rented many bikes why vacationing Amsterdam. Virtually every time I visit I also rent a bike. The only bikes I've ever been able to find is the substantial steel or other heavy bikes. While riding along and struggling to get up to speed, many locals with their light, racy bike simply whizz past. I would like to rent a light, speedy bike. Are such bikes available to rent for tourists?

Taking the ferry behind Centraal Station opens up many nice biking areas in the area of Brook in Waterlands. On a nice day there seems to be endless paved lanes to enjoy the countryside. If I were only to have a lighter bike it would make my cycling adventures even better.
