Heading to Dam Monday!

Post by Amsterjam »

Hi all, myself and a group of friends are heading to the dam on Monday for 4 days and after trawling through this forum for the last few months in preparation I've finally got my 'to smoke' list sorted... :D

Barneys - Cookies Kush
Green Place - Sour Tangie/Shoreline/OG reek'n
Amnesia - LSD
Voyagers - Tangie/Lemon Bubble
Katsu - Mango haze
1e hulp - strawberry sour diesel/royal cream deluxe/purple haze/pure kush
Grey Area - choco kush/Silver bubble

i'd appreciate it if any of you tokers could recommend any other strains/hash that have stood out in recent weeks or if any of you have recently tried one of the above strains and been let down.

I'll do my best to write up a trip report/reviews next week, roll on Monday!

I heard from this forum that the water pressed afghan from Bluebird is nice.

Have a good trip.

Barney's cookie kush for me was taste less....
Got 5g bag ended up using as filler.....
Strong. Just not packing the flavour I was looking for.

Utopia gsc was so much better. More og gsc.
And their 24k
And champagne haze
And amnesia cream
American dream

Basically go utopia

Thanks for the replies, I've got Bluebird WPA on my maybe list as I'm not certain we'll go there, if we do its a definite purchase!

As for Barneys, I've heard a lot of bad things about the place but my friend wants some of their Laughing Buddha so I thought i'd give CK or Grinspoon a go :P

I'll add Utopia to our map, was hoping to find some GSC
but wasn't sure where had it atm so there's another one ticked off!

Just finished my last day at work before the trip and now toking on some nice SSH, happy Friday!

Also what do people think of Rookies? We're renting an apartment on the same street so will probably end up there at some point, any recommendations?

I wouldn't quite agree with tasteless - but it was certainly disappointing for the price. I know a grower that's got some finishing at the mo - they reckon Barneys version was a total let down comparatively. Laughing Buddah is one of my all time faves too though. Pretty sure Amnesia have it on their menu too and I've seen it elsewhere cheaper than in both of the aforementioned shops. Can't bloody remember where though - rather unhelpfully!

I've tried a fair amount of the strains on your list - other than the Cookies Kush (and that could have just been a bad batch - it did win the HT cup after all) it's a cracker :)

If you're going to Bluebird - take a look at their top-shelf isolator too…. it was excellent back in March (called melt madness as I recall). Pricey at €50 for 0.5g but well worth the money if you're into super strong bubble hash.

You're gonna go to Green Place, Bluebird is 3 mins away by foot and it's much nicer place than GP

if you find yourself near the flower market pop into Betty Boop Too and grab a gram of super silver haze, we've found it to be well grown, flushed and cured well and is great value at 10euro a gram.
Utopia is always worth a visit, we'll be in town from Tuesday evening so maybe w'll see you around.

Cheers for the tip guys, will definitely try and convince everyone to go to Bluebird in that case! Awesome Marky, I love some nice SSH! I'll try and post a travel log while I'm out and about WiFi permitting so give me a shout if you're nearby

22 hours until take off and the likely hood of sleep is very unlikely tonight, I'm like a kid on Christmas eve! To make the excruciating wait a little less painful however I've just got hold of some lovely chemdawg X lemon kush, I didn't know this strain existed but it's a real hard hitter!
