Thankee for the advice!!

Was going to try the Citral anyway (if it's still around). The others will be worth checking out. Tangielope sounds good.

I love how we're all different... I experience the whole sativa/indica effects totally different to you. Full on stone with the indicas & it has to be a really good 'happy' sativa for me to enjoy it

Thanks for your effort and this fine report, MoFo! Especially since you wrote most of it during your trip to Dam. Your strain descriptions are quite impressive to me as I'm not able to express myself like that tastewise. Respect :D !

Apart from that I like your down-to-earth point of view regarding this dutch coffeeshop scene in general as already said elsewhere! I agree mostly.

Second thing is I read you had a supply of Shoreline from a local grower around you and I already asked other members on here( please take a look: https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewt ... 19#p383519 ). I assume your grower used seeds instead of a clone?! How close does this come to the version of De Graal and Green Place?

Thanks in advance  !

Thanks for the kind words - much appreciated. I do enjoy writing . Reading it back now it's obvious how high I was though - hahahaha it could be a lot better. There's lots of typos, lazy repetition and over use of 'I'. But thanks - I do appreciate it.

My experiences with home spun Shoreline confuse me slightly. Bear with me - In terms of taste and looks, the Green Place and De Graal examples are both very similar to both each other and the home grown attempts I've seen. Purple, vaguely airy flowers with pink hairs that smell and taste floral with hints of lavender, rose and Burgamot.

Where I'm confused is that I've never seen the strain described that way. Even by Devils Harvest the seed company that released it.

It's often described as roadkill skunk, which is about as far from an accurate description of the strain I know and love as I can conceive of. Adding to the confusion is that as far as I know (and I'll confirm again soon as they've got it in again - from seed) the strain is fairly consistent. I've personally experienced a 'darker' phenotype that still has the floral notes but leans heavier on the oasis end of the genetics with a distinct northern lights vibe. But no way would I describe it as roadkill. The floral Burgamot notes are distinct. A bag of Shoreline buds even looks like rose and Burgamot to me.

Essentially - I think the clone only strain in the US is vastly different to the seeds being distributed by devils harvest. But having no frame of reference to draw on it's difficult to do anything but guess.

I read the thread you posted with interest Jesscass - and I'm more convinced than ever.
One of the American guys in the thread mentioned that Shoreline needs time and space to grow - which according to 'the grower' is certainly not the case.
The Devils Harvest strain finishes at around 60cm > 100cm even with 4-6 weeks veg (she will stretch when over-shadowed by taller plants though) and is a single cola plant - hates having the main stem topped. She finishes in 9 weeks tops so the description the dude gave just doesn't fit the bill.

Pretty convinced at this point that there's little or no correlation between the US clone only and European feminised seed strains… Might be wrong (and would like to be).

Cheers for all the given details, MoFo, very much appreciated :D !

As said before I hope this coffeeshop version of Shoreline is selected from seeds(Devil's Harvest). I'll get back to you one day when we have deeper insight  can't promise anything of course and even when this will take ages though as pointed out in the thread   !

Keep up the good work and thanks again!
