Coffeeshops which let you smoke weed bought from elsewhere?

Hi there,

I'm going to Amsterdam this July 20 for a week, can't wait!

I'd like some advice on which coffeeshops are happy for you to smoke weed which you have bought from another place? I'm asking as I have only been to Dam once, and remember that even if I bought a drink or some food some places got grumpy if I light up weed I didn't buy from them.

Looking forward to going to Grey Area again but would like some recommendations on a cool place or 2 to visit afterwards and smoke.

Many thanks

Jamal

It´s not like "every coffeeshop should allow you to do this" - it´s more like "every coffeeshop has to allow you to do this" if you take a look @ the official law.

But "1st Hulp" refused my wife and me to do so. That ruined the last day of a wonderful time!!!

We bought a lot of weed @ 1st Hulp and went there the day after because it was such a nice place with all that wonderful decor and the nice cat. But as we ordered two cappuccinos and wanted to relax the last hours @ the Dam, this stu*** bold budtender told us: "You have to buy some weed or hash to smoke in here".

I returned "We bought a lot of weed from here yesterday". But he didn´t care!!! So I had to buy 1g to smoke the rest of our stash in here... I didn´t want to look out for another place to enjoy the last hours of this trip with my wife... But that was 2010 - and we never stepped our feed into that place once more... Even though a lot of people told me they had some of the best weed I could find @ the Dam.

But who would go back @ such a respectless place? Not me... After that I heard a lot about disrespectful behavior regarding this place. There are so many other nice shops @ the Dam, so we´ll avoid "1st Hulp" forever and a day!!! But it´s your decision to try this disrespectful place!

Peace

the only place that forced me to buy weed every time I visited was club media, shame as I really liked it, but wouldn't go back because of it. I travel solo and its not practicable for me to buy weed in every coffeeshop I visit as I'm a pretty light smoker these days.

yanks in zandvoort were great about it, they have a turnstile system but I always said I just want a coffee and they let me in no problem. in the early days of visiting Amsterdam I felt obliged to buy weed, but now I would just leave if they hassled me. there are loads of coffeeshops around.

I keep hearing those things about media and i'm just wondering whether i got lucky every time i went there.
Went for a wake n bake early october, no problems with ordering a tea, and rolling myself a joint. I bought something anyway on my way out(but was not hassled). Or maybe it's just the fact that always the same hot BT serves me.
