Got an early morning flight 6.30am from heathrow KLM. I like to get there early to make a full day in one of my favourite cities! Stayed at the Luxur on the warmoestraat.
1st Stop was Damkring 2 tried the Grape Ape a nice indica not too strong though around 11Euro I think. Bartenders and waitress nice enough no complaints. Head back to CS station and grab a couple of tram passes to get us to the PIJP.
2nd Stop De grall - Has to be one of my favourite coffeeshops. Ill be gutted if this one closes. Grabbed some hasj Vanhala? very nice moroc oily and cream smoke. Nice vibe in here and some funky beats sending me to dreamland.
3rd stop Stones corner (the old Kabouter) They cut this CS in half, scouse dealer tells me that its the best setup for this part of dam. Grabbed King Hassan was OK..I really should of grabbed some weed from here though.
4th Stop Katsu - I still like the vibe in here Grabbed some Hindu Kush nice taste OK potency. Chillin Shop.
Generally I think the weed in Amsterdam has gone weaker from my first trip in 1998. I still love the place and will always return or maybe the weed in the UK has got better? I really cant believe how much the city has changed all the junkies gone, CCTV everywhere has reduced the crime and that a good thing but the reduction in the RLD and coffeeshops / project 1012 is BAD!
The edge has gone.... there was something strangely charming about being smashed off your face on some white widow / northern light type weed trying to dodge those homeless junk types looking to rob ya if you get caught slipping!!
Times have certainly changed...but the old church bells remain constant and knock me back to nostalgia everytime they chime.
