Hi Robn
Have a great time in the Dam and let us know how you get along, we like to hear back about people's adventures.
It's a shame weed makes you nauseous - and somewhat surprising to me as it's known to be a powerful anti-emetic (good for stopping nausea).
It's one of the reasons cancer patients find it therapeutic - as an antidote to the sickness caused by chemotherapy.
I wonder if you're mixing it with tobacco and are not a regular tobacco smoker? If so - that could well be the reason you feel ill when smoking. Of course - everyone is different and I could be totally wrong. Perhaps try rolling a small pure joint, or using a clean pipe or bong to ingest a little bit at a time and see how you get on?
My advice would be find some nice organically grown outdoor (try coffeeshop YoYo) or something rich with CBD (try Cofffeeshop Siberie - they sell both) for the simple reason that outdoor weed will be less potent than the stronger stuff favoured by most of the regulars here at ACD. Better for infrequent smokers - work your way up to the stronger stuff.
CBD is a re-uptake inhibitor for THC - which means that it modulates the high THC gives you. It will help to bring a bit more of a 'body' effect to proceedings and should help to quiet a raving mind or keep any feelings of anxiety at bay to boot.
Ask your budtender for advice - they'll be particularly helpful at the shops I mentioned if you explain your situation I'm sure.
Have fun. Be safe. Report back
