NL Coffeeshop weed tested for mold and pesticide pollution

Post by Marok21 »

The Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu (RIVM) tested 25 weed batches of different strains from different coffeeshops around the netherlands for mold and pesticide Pollution. The result is not as bad as I thought before. Ok they found in 23 of 25 batches pesticide pollution :? but under 1%... in 1 batch (Special Super Silver) they found "Carbendazim" wich is since 2009 not allowed in the EU... also in 8 batches they found a "higher" concentration of Abamectin (around 3% of the acceptable daily intake)... but you have to eat 18 grams a day to top the acceptable daily intake.

Overall all tested batches don´t top the regulatory limits for food products in the EU... but if you want real medical clean weed best is to do it yourself or someone you really trust do it for you...

here is the test result in german with the names of the tested strains and founded pesticide pollution:

from the listed strains I would say they also tested some bud of 1e Hulp and Funky Munkey

So which coffeeshops apart from Yo-yo sell organic/bio weed? I guess it would be certain to be pesticide free?

Club Media claims to be 100% organic but i doubt it now because Champagne Haze couple weeks ago was so bad tasting and harsh to throat. Smell and look was ok,maybe little leafy and not so frosty as usual but that horrible taste and burning feel on throat! And i'm pretty sure that when some shops lists strains as ''BIO'' or even ''ORGANIC'' it means just that it's grown in soil but with chemical fertilizers.. Utopia sells some Bio-Organic strains and what i've tried from them this far has been always clean tasting and flushed weed.

Thanks for the useful info 2rare2die, I'll be paying Utopia a visit or two when I'm over.
I'm not surprised they can use chemical fertilizers as there aren't the official monitoring bodies for 'organic' certification which you find in other industries.
