Re: Episode VI the boys are back in town
Inspired by recent travelogues and a nagging need for completion. Here's the somewhat delayed final day of this trip report!
Day 4
I don't remember much about that day now - funnily enough my memory is somewhat hazy about the finer details. I did take fairly good notes on our scoops for the day.
The Bulldog session on the previous evening was on an epic level. So I have no idea how the merry hell we made it up and out of the hotel for 10am. Nor have I any idea why the doob I smoked on the way to breakfast should have got me so high - happily, it did. I have no idea what was in it other than to say it was a salad of some description.
Our first port of call was Green Place for some repeat purchases of silver bubble and shoreline. I remember that we sat outside in the blazing afternoon sunshine with a couple of German girls enquiring about the vapes we were puffing on. A few groups of older tourists ambled past so we did our sworn duty and gave them a nice cloud to walk through much to their amusement. Immature? Perhaps. One American lady in her seventies quipped 'smells great'.
Sufficiently crispy we plotted a route encompassing a quick walk past CS reefer next door to Bluebird, having never been in I figured it worth a look.
I eyeballed the Somari, normally I'd be slightly frustrated by someone judging a bud before its smoked - but on this occasion I could see why someone might. The nug - albeit intact and considerable in size looked tired and grey, the tub smelt of musty hay. I had a tosti instead. Sat outside on their wide terrace atop the bridge in the blazing sun. Very pleasant indeed. The day felt easy - like we had all the time in the world. DLN hadn't made an appearance yet so we decide to push on and head south a few blocks aiming for the Amstel, through the market where we browsed a while and I bought some nice woodcuts as a gift for my girlfriend. Eventually we find familiar ground and its across the Amstel and into the old church for a smoke.
Somari smells better here but I opt for the mean green Martian instead €16 for 1.2g.
She's an interesting lady, the lime notes from the G13 mother dominate the flavour profile. All the hash plant was gone though - replaced by sour skunky notes, floral through the middle - dank in her boots. I really enjoyed the doob and vapes from that bag. Another interesting lady ticked off my list. Great finish on the product - a lovely smooth smoke.
7.9 - this shop is growing on me.
DLN gets in touch and we decide to setup shop at Batavia for the rest of the day, there's room to dab - no hassle from staff and the kitchen is very handy for feeding hungry stoners. Off we head - a slow walk north taking in the final sights and sounds of the city.
As we round the northern corner of Gelderskade we figure It would be rude not to grab one final scoop from voyagers. 1g Lemon bubble, Kaligria (again) another gram of the Platinum GSC for our kid and a g of their fromage bleu.
The Batavia session ensues, we have a lot to get through before flying tonight. Best get cracking.
The Lavender I'd bought the day before at De Graal was harsh when burnt - much better in the vape.
I roll another Mean green and this time get a distinct sour apples flavour. I like this strain.
Tons more flavours are consumed, straggling bits of bags combined and blazed - parchments scraped and errl dabbed. We have the seats by the window and someone joins us - I'll be buggered if I can remember who!
There are two final things to achieve so we plot to get that wrapped up in order to facilitate one final session.
We head to the Cannabis College to say goodbye to Maria and clean my bongs ready for the return flight. She very kindly gives me a silver implement for resting dirty dabbers against - probably because she's sick of us gumming up her table! What a lovely lady I'm looking forward to seeing her again soon. After a mini session we say our goodbyes - make a contribution to the cause and head back to Batavia for the final session of the trip.
Once we've cracked through the remaining bits it seems criminal to spend our remaining time indoors given the glorious sunshine so we roll four epic doobs from the voyagers scoop - stake a spot on Gelderskade by a canal and blaze. It's quiet, we're quiet. It's a lovely finish. Boy I'm baked. One crispy mofo.
1g Lemon bubble. €12ish I think
She's consistent - all candy citrus with a vague velvet sourness announcing hash plant on the exhale. Complex and fruity - a go to purchase for me from this shop.
It's time to leave. I'm sad as ever - but safe in the knowledge I'll be back before too long, DLN and I are already talking about the next trip.
We say our goodbyes at the station - our man on the ground has been a wonderful companion as ever. Big thanks and much love to you brother #rollseyesricky.
At the airport we decide to ruin all my good gastrointestinal work by having another burger. Stood in the queue at Burger King we lament 'the butcher' - reminiscing about bloody glory. Spending the last euros in our pockets we take our low-grade meal out into the sunshine we are faced with the horror of our ignorance and impatience.
Outside the main departure terminal is a large street food stall emblazoned with the legend: 'The Butcher'
What a couple of burger wankers we are.
Adios Amsterdam - you've been a blast.

Finally the rest to the story
Loved reading along. I don't think I would be able to go into such detail grading everything you got.

Nice trip report, has made me clucky to go again
What's the deal with bringing bongs, vapes etc through security at airport? Can they seize them if they swab positive for weed?

Cheers dude - and yes I'd imagine they can sieze items testing positive. Luckily Schipol staff don't give a stuff what's leaving the country and I make sure everything is impeccably clean for the outward journey.free_phil_spector wrote:Nice trip report, has made me clucky to go again![]()

Cheers. I'm wanting to take my flowermate on the next trip but really dont want it confiscated, especially not this end (as you said, at Schiphol I'd imagine they'd be more lenient but then again I've got 'previous' there and always get picked on these days
). On those customs fuckers TV shows they often find traces of cocaine on laptops ets but I'm not sure they seize them, seems pretty cunty but then when did being cunty ever stop them

Re: Episode VI the boys are back in town
As long as it doesn't smell and isn't covered in flecks of weed you'll be fine. They won't know what it is and won't even look twice at it, I've taken 3 different devices in a single bag, with bongs. They NEVER look at my vapes - and if they do tell them with a straight face you use it for warming your hands or vapoursing lavender/damiola/camomile* insert herb here.free_phil_spector wrote:Cheers.
