OMG can't wait! For anyone who hasn't checked out the webisodes thus far, highly recommended! Great show, easy to watch, light-hearted up beat - and a nice subtle stringing together and baby side plots, of people and their lives all interconnected somehow or the other through one man, and his most sacred of wares...

Web series was the bomb, hope full series picks up and spends less time on the bs with the "Assholes"... But yeah, looks good

I think they're trying to thicken the development of individual customer-characters, and the plots they add to the mix. Part of the beauty of the show is that "the guy" is the show's protagonist, but he doesn't always steal the spotlight or function as the central character. The various peripheral customers are interconnected, and brought together through a long-stringing plot line.
The point is how someone as "dubious" or "shady" as a mere grass-peddler is afforded such a glimpse into the most intimate moments of various clientele's lives at certain moments. In the end both the vendor and the customers are normal people leading normal lives, brought together by their common (illicit) interest...
We'll see where it goes, but I'm of the opinion that the HBO-premier was a glass very half-full indication of things to come, here's to hoping my intuition is right on that one!

Agreed mostly, but think the "Asshole" couple might be more of a "anti-side kick" set up, and the issues with them getting his phone by accident and black mailing him may become the main dillemma for the protagonist over the first season (let's hope not)...
In general we completely agree though that the format with the protagonist taking a more passive / conduit role for the mini-storries centered aroun d the custommers is really nice and innovative, can't wait for more

I was a big fan of the opening scene - the aspiring situational actor (who's actually a Brit) puts on one hell of a performance to play the role of tristate area meathead customer to create the most awkward uncomfortable dealer-buyer interaction, possibly ever...pure brilliance! "wait do they say spliff here?!, I think that's British!"

Yeah, that one was maybe the best, super funny twist as he was a douchie mofo as the meat head
