Yeah man, it is beyond words here, weather is perfect, Amsterdam considered and all the top shops have killer product. The best thing here is the people though, even more than we remember we feel so at home among the locals here and have made tons of new wonderful friends and got reacquainted with old ones (saw Simon who used to manage Nes at batavia, which he now manages for Franz and his brother, that was awesome!).
At Utopia now smoking tangerine block from Boer, top of the line block this here, possibly the best we had so far!
Critical lush ISO from de graal (at only 25 a pop) is Polly the most powerful stuff we had here, and super tasty! Especially nice since we have been smoking, vaping and pressing quite a lot of the most excellent critical the last few days!
Ingi @ utopia is so great by the way!

I really enjoy reading your posts about your visit. You do a good job of sharing your enthusiasm for AMS. I try to capture that enthusiasm, too, and appreciate it when I read it from someone else.
AMS is truly a magical place.
I'm happy to hear you rented bikes at Mike's. This board directed me to Mike's, too, and I had a great experience there. I think I'd splurge for the handbrakes next time, but the peddle brake worked just fine.
With your bikes, I hope you get to pop into La Tertulia and CS Yo-Yo. Also be sure to take in some of the street markets, listen to the Westerkerk bells, and try a few museums.

Re: CopenhagenCouple live-ish from the dam
Alas, our ambition of doing day to day reports from here has been put to shame, but we promise you all a proper write up once we're home.
Here are a few of the memorable highlights up to now:
Forgot that we hit batavia for pie (freaking delicious, went back for more this Monday), and voyagers where we got kushdee (very nice, smooth smoke that DLN said reminded him very much of a good shoreline aroma-wise) and Atlas (which @ 10 E is a very good value buy, proper old school Moroccan).
Tuesday was t&t&t day at voyagers, we did something we don't remember (coffeshop included) and toasties at batavia before that. No one found us with the three (later four) VERY local Dutch / Moroccan / Rastafarian dudes in the smoking cage, so we headed out at around three and went south looking for food. De klos and ribs it was, and boy oh boy those are some ribs, best we both ever had and especially Mr. CC prides himself in knowing and thing or two about ribs. Looking at the forum we saw that gapie and DLN might be at batavia, so we headed there, and sure enough DLN came over shortly after we sat down... Now here is when starts four and a half days of heavy indulgence and some of the best times of our lives, s big shout out to DLN for being a stand up guys, good friend and one hell of a smoker!
The rest of the day Tuesday is lost in wild smoking and good times, maybe DLN can help clear up some of the fog, and pictures and notes might help once we are back home.
Wednesday early was trip out west for Boer west and massawa, then meet DLN at foodhallen. Foodhallen was excellent, although a bit pricey (that is to be expected though) and very similar to "torvehallerne" in Copenhagen or mercato San Lorenzo in Florence, although with out the fresh produce and specialty shops of either or the size of San Lorenzo. We had a rack of bitterballen each, a broodjes falafel and a deep fried chicken , chilli doughnut which was surprisingly delicious.
DLN showed up, had some o them nuts and went of again with the promise to meet us at cannabis college at about five. We drove to yet another sho we cannot recall, did some other stuff and hooked up with DLN @ CC to begin son rosin pressin' - one of the coolest and most efficient new tricks in our books thnx to DLN!
TBC...

GBB and white choc block from Boer where both really good, followed by some cheese, then random stuff from the stash and lots of good wit beer and we almost had to be forcibly removed from batavia last night...
Rosined the rest of the OG from Pablow and the AM Hia from Katsu, both where close to trash before and practically unsmokeable before but quite good rosined...

Re: CopenhagenCouple live-ish from the dam
Hey man, hope the two of you got to where you're going well and things are good there!
Nothing dramatic at batavia, just a couple of danes and some of the local expats getting really stoned and felt the need to help clearing up the mess a little extra in the smokers lounge and hanging I'm the bar way after last call
And yes my friend, the cheese is exactly from where you suspect and it the best smoke we have had here, probably the best cheese we ever had (Ms. CC being a huge cheese head) and it is powerful beyond words. One of those bad boys is equivalent to several heavy block and ice joints smeared with a good helping of rosin. In general everything "in this family" is top, top quality and smooth and clean. Maple Leaf may be the smoothest and most interesting smoke of the trip, very tasty and not at all like most of the kushes, hazes and lemon flavored flowers that is so dominant here.
Almost went in for some extracts too, saw a selection that had us drooling, but the stash is a challenge to finish as is and we can't help buying more from shops, so gave it a (very regretful) pass...
Gotta just thank you again for showing us the rosin trick, have already pressed five batches and they are all super yummy, although we clearly don't have the experts touch yet..!

Re: CopenhagenCouple live-ish from the dam
We actually stopped for a while at massawa before meeting DLN and enjoyed some of the royal, which @ 12 per G is a beautiful classic top level Maroc. Chocolate and coffee along with that special top level Moroccan spice dominates the taste in this ultra smooth smoke. As it turns out (later at cannabis college that is) it makes an awesome rosin and without a proper frame of reference we should also say good yielding. Massawa is a really nice, albeit very local place with lots of place to chill and a nice outdoor area with a canal view (although that was taken by the locals when we visited). Chat the my HP if you can manage, his English is not so good (Danish was almost better), but he is cool, helpful and friendly and his buddies might help translate. Also uber delicious mangosteen drinks (many other yummy varieties too), which is a nice change from the usual CS selection (which is almost always nice, but a little uniform).
So before meeting DLN at the college we swung by Kashmir lounge for a coffee and some of the purchases from Boer etc.
Very nice and chill place, good for a pit stop coming in from or going out west, especially if you live in the center.
We hung at the college for a good hour watching DLN work his magic with the rosin tech and dabbing and smoking a good deal of the result. A combination of a hard hitting flowers rosin hit and a heart bigger than his lungs (which meant that he was s little too brave dosing a dab) sent Mr. CC into a five minute coughing fit that had him stumbling out the door and down the stairs from the college bright red in the face and gasping for breath. We guess some tourist thought a first timer had more than his full at the college and Mr CC is happy to provide the grounds for a good laugh, even though it may be on him and completely out of his own control
So headed to batavia for more dabbing and toking along with a few beers (mixed with looza and water to keep from whitey-ing out). We don't remember if we did anything in between, but at some time we went for burgers at BB next to Katsu (from whence this post is being written). They were out of Kobe, but we both had a black Angus that was very decent and one serving of onion rings which are the best dang onion rings we have had outside restaurants listed in the Michelin guide! We had onion rings (Friday or Saturday possibly) at BB warmoesstraat which were a lot less satisfying, but this was due to the oil being to cold in the deep fryer (either lazy or a rookie mistake).
After BB DLN went off to party a bit with friends (we think) and we went by way of de graal to the piggy to chill and have a ton of smokes...

Re: CopenhagenCouple live-ish from the dam
Nice report CC. Where can you get this very nice cheese you speak of? The maple as well.
Re: CopenhagenCouple live-ish from the dam
I completely agree that the Warmoesstraat onion rings are not as good as I had some the day before departing as well.
Italy is great weather spectacular, have a beautiful terrace/balcony with a hammock and lots of sunshine. Great for enjoying the 24k hasj, primera and primera rosin that magically teleported between points A & B hehe
yesterday took a day excursion to the dolomites to frolick in pristine mountain streams whilst high and craft beer buzzed off our tits
