Wow prices are crazy they are like NYC street prices 32 euro for 2 grams of haze really, people here pay 20 bucks a gram on the street, no need for it to be that high,

Almost think they where trying to wipe out pot tourism

Maybe the politicians have a method too there madness, the prices are three or four times street prices here.

Much as I love the green, hash is much better value. I'll pay for Dr Grinspoon, and maybe a nice diesel or so, but I'd rather get premium hash for less. Voyagers' powerbags were great value – nugs of goodness that were equal to some proper UK street deals at the least, at a fraction of the price – but there's enough around the €10 mark now that they're gone.

@Dwarf, what are your top-5 hashes (whether old- or new-school), from recent visits?
And I agree the value gotten for hash, far exceeds that of weed in coffeeshops.

Tough question. Boerejongens' AM Block in its first incarnation, which was presumably unpopular with the locals, and now seems gone in any form. I tried the Nicole Bubblehash from Eerste Hulp, and it's definitely worth its price tag. In theory I should be praising something old school like Massawa's 5g deals or Tweede Kamer's King Hassan, but I haven't bought any for a while. And am regretting it now, of course, but you can't do that much in a day, or even two. Katsu's Royal Nepal is good, after so many disappointments with that once standard favourite. Oh, and after avoiding Green Place for a while (no real reason, never had any of the notorious problems others report), I was intrigued by the reputation of Cheese Cake, and sampled some. Devilishly hard to handle even by the standards of the genre, even straight out of the fridge, but it definitely deserves a mention.

Sunday August 21
I thought I should scale back my weed buying, since I have plenty for the remainder of my trip. I made bowls of the White Walker and the Caramello and maintained my buzz. I had off sworn getting high for about ten days before this trip. It made a big difference for the first few days, when I could not finish bowls. But as the week has worn on it feels as if the weed is getting weaker, but I guess that I an just building up tolerance after so much.
Speaking of vaping, it was you guys who convinced me that vaping is the way to go. I am very happy as a vapor guy. However, it is still extremely unusual here. In a week's time, I have not seen another person vaping. I get an occasional question, usually from a girl. Boys are to proud to ask.
As far as food went on Sunday, I went to Dwaze Zaken, and had their version of the Full English Breakfast. I don't recall how they made it onto my list of breakfast places, but I wasn't impressed. In the afternoon I did, Cafe de Dam/Louis Bar, and De Bekeerde Suster. I don't remember how Louis Bar made my list. I must have been reading an article about novelty bars and added it to the list. Other than it is small, it has nothing to recommend it.
I the afternoon sometime, I got a craving for a pizza. My go to pizza place is Da Portare, but it was closed, so I went to a generic hole in the wall place that advertised pizza. I was disappointed.

Monday August 22
For breakfast, I went somewhere that has been on my breakfast and dinner lists for sometime, but I have never made it before: The Lobby Bar. It was very good. Between the Lobby Bar and Mandarjn, I may have decided to relocated my home base to the other end of Damrak. I had dinner at Mandarjn.
Sometime between Breakfast and Dinner, I made my way to de Graal. I bot two grams of cheese for €20 and a gram of hash the identity of which and price of which I don't remember, but for some reason €10 is in my mind.
Because I have more weed than I can vape in the remaining hours, I forbade myself from visiting another Coffeeshop.
Tuesday August 23
I went back to De Bakkerswinkel for breakfast I like that place. For dinner I went to an old standby, Bistrot Neuf. I had their foie gras appetizer, and mussels. I had a champaign Apéritif. And I paired a separate poor for the appetizer, main course, and with a crème brûlée for desert. So I had a bit of an Alcohol buzz when I headed back to the room.
I had to remind myself during the day what my objective was: smoking weed, drinking beer and eating. I revisited In De Wildeman and De Bekeerde Suster and hit Route 66 a couple of times.
Always have mixed feelings on the last day of a trip. On the one hand, I am looking forward to getting home, seeing the wife, and the dogs, and getting back to my routine. On the other hand, I am sad that the days of hedonism are ending.
Wednesday August 24
I am back in an Airport lounge enjoying a Bloody Mary while waiting for my flight. I don't fly out of Schiphol much and every time that I do, it annoys me. The signage is the worst on earth. You will not find a sign directing you to Delta's ticket counter. When you do find it, it might be labeled Italia, you never know.
Secondly, passport control was the slowest that I have ever encountered outside of the Caribbean.
Thirdly, you get through passport control and you look for a sign for the Delta or KLM lounges. Oh no. Labeling the lounges so that tourist have a clue would be too friendly. Instead, let's call them by random numbers. We have the lounge 41-42, and we have the lounge 24-25, and then we have lounge 52. Your guess is all you have to go on.
In any event, my flight leaves in 2.5 hours, so I have quite a bit more Bloody Mary to drink.
