Hi guys i'm visitting amsterdam next week from tuesday till thursday and i like to try some blocks. I'm looking for a price range of up to 12€ and i don't like it when the hash is too oily and sticks on your fingers all the way! A good taste is also very important

Boerjoengens chain hands down! Massive selection, great quality (even the people who are not fans tend to agree that their blocks are top notch) and you will find plenty at or bellow 12 E!

Dampkring and tweede are also very good bets for hash in general (also carry blocks /new school), easy times has a smaller but fairly priced selection and utopia has the AM block which at 12 a g is very nicely priced as it is a beautiful smoke (probably a little to dark and ticky for you though, but also look at the frozen dry sift iso there, that is very v tasty).

1e hulp had a few nice blocks / new school but we only tried the caboose (excellent!).

De graal has very good value and pricing and a great hash menu, although all the new school we had here was of the darker and stickier kind...

Does Utopia's Amnesia hash count as a block hash? It's not particularly sticky, in the sense that TK/Dampkring's C3 is – you don't have to wrap it in wax paper or keep it in the fridge. Still a great smoke, though. And yes, agree with the other recommendations.

Agree with CC here, my experience is limited but the White Choco Block in Boerjoengens was superb and at the time was 8.50 a gram so you can't go wrong there.

Guess it depends on your definition and theablock name seems more popular with some, Boer having it almost as a hallmark... It is at least new school moroccan and unless the distinction is that block hashes are only the looser pressed ones that Boer primarily favors (in that case a subset with new school as the general category) we guess it is same same... maybe we are missing some finer point that distinguishes the two from each other though...


We had one of the "C-something" hashes, but if it was noor, pioneer, 3, 5 or whatever eludes up, just remember it as very good and indeed very much stickier than the am cream, not as much as the cheese cake or other silly examples though...

I decided in the end that the cheese cake was more trouble than it was worth, even straight from the fridge. Not with Boerejongens and TK/Dampkring doing similar things for less that were easier to handle.
