I'm out there from the 17th - 21st of November and would love to meet up for a T&T if anyone is around.

The two of us are coming to town with a friend (who is a first timer with a very serious appetite) on the 17th and staying till the 20th. With the exception of a few food expeditions, an attempt or two to turn a few bars and clubs into disaster areas once the shops area closed and the odd stoner mission for some random fancy, the trip is more or less completely dedicated to getting mashed out 24/7, so a t&t just requires that we find you or, more likely, that you find us and someone starts talkin...

There is a very high likelihood that of will be at Batavia some time in the afternoon on the 17th, and it is almost certain (or as certain as anything gets in Ams) that we will be spending our evening there getting blitzed, but there will be plenty of opportunities we thinks...

I don't get in till late on the 17th (land at about 7pm) and was thinking of heading to Voyagers.

If we don't bump heads that day, the fingers crossed the next !

Sounds like a plan don't know how familiar you are with the city btw, but Voyagers is, literally, right opposite the canal behind Batavia,Iin fact you can look straight from Batavia into Voyagers and from the window at voyagers straight down into the smokers lounge at Batavia...

A general question for all ..... I have always smoked with tobacco and know this is no longer allowed in Amster.
Is it worth trying the substitutes or shall i just go pure weed?

Also I have a grasshoper vaporiser which i bought recently for the stealth factor
I read amazing things about it, people raved!.... but i really wasn't impressed !
Part of this may have been the crap quality of what i used in it ..... anybody out there tired a grasshopper or other vaporisers?

PS Copenhagen couple ..... If you see a lady with giant curly hair walking around Batavia wearing a cap with MIRA MIRA on it ...... ye that may be me!

Going pure weed is an expensive do these days. If you're a baccy smoker - don't worry, it's fine pretty much everywhere. Other than a few exceptions (Boereojongens, Barneys) you'll easily get away rolling with tobacco if you just keep your pouch/fags off the table after you're done. Where possible (Voyagers, Bluebird, Noon etc) you can use the smoke room if you're really keen on toeing the line but otherwise I wouldn't worry too much. 90% of the staff will be rolling with baccy...

Lots of us use vapes (I use the Mighty) - most places will be cool with you plugging yours in if you want to take it with you. Just ask the staff first. There are lots of shops with Volcanos (paradox particularly) and verdampers for use.

Thats a bit of a relief re baccy! - I know its not the best way but I haven't tried the substitutes and most people say they just spoil the flavour.

Everything is overpriced in Amsterdam head shops. If you don't already own a unit you can travel with - just head for the coffeeshops that have Volcanoes/Verdampers for use. Paradox, 137, Bluebird, The Old Church, Barneys, Voyagers and many more to boot all have free vaporisers for use.

I can recommend smoking pure weed, although I often use the volcanoes (I can also add Easy Times to the list that have one). I don't see a point in mixing weed with tobacco - unless you also smoke cigarettes. With pure weed you get a taste that is different if smoked with tobacco and less harmful.

At home, that is an entirely different story for me. Chronic short supply makes me mix my joints with tobacco. Although I use a pipe occasionally, I still prefer joints.

I like the idea of pure weed and will definitely give it a go i'm some places.
I actually have no idea how i will react - I may find it waaay too strong!

Like OneHighMofo said it seems pretty expensive out there.

It depends on how much of your purchase you put in a joint. I always put 0,5g in a joint, but but keep in mind that I always share it with at least one other person.
For example, if you buy a strain for 12€/g, one joint would cost you 6€ if you smoke it by yourself. What also makes it more expensive is that whenever you don't actually smoke all that burns by itself is pure weed - wasted money

I know this is a European thing, smoking weed with tobbaco but for the life of me I'll never understand it. Mixing a known carcinogen with a beautiful life giving plant seems sacrilegious. It destroys the flavor and changes the effect of the herb in mind and body due to the nicotine.

Saving a few pennies it the short term only to possibly have to deal with respiratory disease down the road seems foolish. Give that shit up.
