Keukenhof question

Post by Vinnie Vegas »

Keukenhof worth a visit if the Tulips are not in bloom? Trying to get out there when the Tulips are blooming. They may or may not be, but some flowers will be in bloom. Is it still worth a visit if the Tulips are not in bloom?

Keukenhof is most certainly worth a visit although it's not all about tulips. It's a shop window for the regions flower growers as much as anything. It's a beautiful place.
You can rent a bike there to ride out among the flower fields which is cool.

As for toking in the gardens, why not it's a cool place but I'd say to be discreet. :D
What a long strange trip it is.

We went like five 420 ago, it was a very cold spring . They force the flowers to bloom inside there greenhouses so theres always some to see.
If you just won't to see fields ,take train to Lieden and rent bike at train station ride through fields.

Cool, thanks for the suggestions guys! I heard they have helicopter tours over the fields, any info on that? I've never been on a Helicopter before and have been thinking of going on one here in Vegas. I could definitely save it for Holland though!

I plan on going on the 26th of April , should be flowers in bloom then hopefully.

I read the easiest way to get there is to get the train from central to the airport And then the bus from the airport to keukenhof is this right?

Good luck vinnie with getting some flowers in early bloom.

I got combination entrance and train tickets from
https://keukenhof.nl//en/

It cost me E29 for the Entrance and Train Tickets(to and from Amsterdam Centraal) plus E5 for a Park Guide.
