Work in Amsterdam?

Post by Brian40 »

Hi Guys:

I am seriously thinking about moving to Amsterdam and would appreciate any advice anyone can give with regards to obtaining the right papers, permits etc to work over here.
I'm a British national, 40, experienced in Bar work and would like to work in a Coffee shop.

Thanks in advance...

and last but not least they need a seller you can make a great chance of working :)

Being a british national you shouldn't need anypaperwork to live in adam as it is part o the european community.....

To work you would need a Sofi number (tax number) that you can get with your passport at kingsfordweg 1.(tram 12)

Being from the U.K I am not sure if you would need a Vreemdelingen Politie or not.

Beeing a guy it might not be as easy to find a bar job as a pretty female. As for beeing a dealer forget it cause the owner are usually suspicious of everybody, so they usually employ people they know......

I think it's possible to become a budtender in Amsterdam.

It's been suggested to me on a couple of occassions.

As far as work permit, I have little knowledge about that.
My thoughts are free.
