weed just weed

Hi all,
I will be in A-dam May 13 -25 and would like to know where to get the best weed for a head high...plan to do lots of walking, museums, etc. I am not used to all of the fruit names applied to weed...here in the states, if it smells like weed and taste good it is good. I have read most comments and watched the videos and seen and heard all of the different names but which weed would anyone or everyone recommend....hash is easier for me, I have that. It is the weed that seems confusing. Thanks

Hi Frank,
I prefer sativa for the head high in the day. Too much Indica in the day makes me feel lazy. A Thai might do it for you. Outdoor weed seems to be good daytime smoke in my limited experience. I've read quite a bit of reviews of the Anunnaki of this forum. I've never tried it, but it sounds like it might be what you are after. The Grey Area has it. I believe the strain came from DNA-Genetics. I've got great sativa from Bluebird and Siberie. Bluebird's being the strongest. This website has some good info on buds from various coffeeshops:

Just find a reputable coffeeshop and ask the dealer - most are very helpful and glad to talk about their wares (unless it's really busy). For a good starting point, most strains with "Haze" in the name are what you're after. If you're American, you might want to start at the Grey Area, 2 mins from Dam Square...it's owned by Americans and they won't let you down. John is the nicest guy in Dam IMO. Buy a gram of several varieties and see which suits you. If it's too crowded to sit down, walk out of the door, turn right and right again, and at the end of that block is the more roomy and comfortable Amnesia, also a great choice to buy your smokeables (& try the milkshakes!). wow learn something new everyday. I noticed the dealer was american but didn't know it was owned by americans. which one is John?

John's the tall slim guy with not much hair and specs. I don't know the other fella, but John is the very definition of "happy in his work". Even if the weed was shit I'd still go in there for the good vibes.

Man, I`m so glad I now have a car and a driver-license.

Remember the old times when it was like you described it in the USA. Was the same for me and my friends here in germany,when it smelled and looked like weed, it was ok.
Now me and my girl go to the netherlands once/twice a month and just buy some good stuff

It is so great to live near the best country in this world (just after jamaica) and be able to travel to it

Now to your question:
I wouldn`t agree with "Tall Guy", because if you`re not used to the weed from the netherlands, Haze will just burn you, not the other way around

It`s right that it`s Sativa and you`re not stoned, but high so you are very active. But, you are TOO active. We just bought some Diesel (I was told it is a Haze-sort as well) and it has a very good high, but it`s definitely too strong for walking around the town and doing some sightseeing.

I would recommend you to go to a shop and just buy the Jamaican or Thai, which is very cheap too. These sorts don`t make you high, but you`re still able to stand still without losing your mind

Orange Bud in my opinion is a nice active weed as well, but we only had it once when we went to Eindhoven, maybe in some coffeeshops you will find stronger ones than we had and that will definitely make you stoned

But the best way is to just ask the dealer for a not so strong weed, he will give you a good advice!

(sorry for writing that much, but I always get those adrenaline-kicks when I smoked weed the night before

)

Er....yes they do, they're both tropical sativas usually, Thai almost certainly. Good choice for frank though, true. Siberie or Dampkring sometimes have some OK Thai, but it's often pretty dry and old looking. Very cheap too.

Well, we just smoked one joint of this Diesel, and it made us(we were 3) that high......cant believe it

I'd agree with Prestoned for the most part, esp. w/sativas.

I see no one mentioned Temple Ball (I realize the title of this thread involves weed though). I remember smoking it at nite, and staying up a while, a really nice buzz. I think I got it at Chocolata (now Abraxas)

The thing about Nepal Tempal Ball is that its not REAL NTB. As far as I have learnt, Stix and WW in Haarlem offer the 'real' product. However, it is claimed that it is not as potent as the stuff in the 70-90's.

I noticed many places selling hash' just called Tempal. Probably to make people think NTB, when its not.

I agree about the NTB- Stix do a damn fine NTB, and I found it to be a very good day smoke- doesn't knock you out at all.
I also tried the Laughing Buddha at Amnesia recently, which was a strongish sativa- it gave me the kick to do things without monging me out.
The Amnesia Haze was also a strong Sativa- it got my heart rate up!
