are there a lot of cops in amsterdam? Do they frequently visit Coffeeshops?

There are uniformed cops enough to keep order. The one's you are concerned with are the plain clothes or undercover cops. No way to tell who is and isn't. As I stated in a previous post, some of the shops have raised the age to get in to 21.
